Thanks...The 24H2 from preview channel is admittedly a mess. Other things it broke include some functions of Start 11 and even more importantly (and not surprisingly) Explorer Patcher no longer functions as it did with the previous release preview update. So I'm guessing they have "fixed" more things in the lower level UI code this go around. Though I guess it would have probably hit the other Insider channels prior to this. Anyway I just wanted to share what I found. For now so ma

I know it is not yet supported. I'm not trying to get support, I'm trying to share my results of various Stardock applications on Windows 11 24H2 (10.0.26100.712). So far Deskscapes 11.0.1 beta runs as an application but it does not manage the wallpapers, leaving only a black scene when it is used to set walls. Removing and reinstalling does not help.

A week or so ago I discovered that Cursor FX was no longer running on boot. I had to force it to run as admin to work again, but of course the pauses every boot process until I click the UAC prompt. Digging a bit more today I discovered that the certificate for CursorFX has long since expired.

Neil that Sysinternals install source was enough of a question to lead me to the conclusion that the problem with the Start 11 quick slots was from apps that are either store installs, or add components as if they were. Thanks for that!

Now that's an interesting question. And would certainly explain some things. Checking in the store it appears this version was installed from the MS Store. But it is not only Sysinternals that is showing up in the list. Avast is as well, and it was not installed from the MS Store. Neither was Realtek Audio Console. But it is certainly not all my Win32 apps that show up by any long-shot. Is there an API from MS that allows Win032 apps to registry in the Store App namespace? But back

I cannot get the Universal Applications menu to display only store apps. It's including Win32 apps such as Sysinternals . So since I cannot get answers as to how to fix it I thought I would create a filtered folder instead. But there's nowhere that I can find with documentation on how to use the feature. I created a filtered folder and pointed it to a location and set a filter to include only LNK files. Even this is guess work since I cannot find any documentation of useful help on this featu

There used to be a setting, toggle I think, in the Stardock Start program to enable and disable regular Win32-apps but I cannot remember where it was, or the precise name for it now. It was something like "Do not include applications for All Programs list" or something vaguely similar to that.

Some of them are store apps, and some of them are not. In addition I cannot find where this is stored. I have remove Start11 (with remove settings both times) and the Universal Apps menu is still there on reboot. I've cleaned register hives (current user) and deleted folders out of the user profiles hive and still the over populated Uni Apps menu always contains both "store apps" and Win32 apps. I cannot find where the setting is being retained. Are there settings such a

Neil I cannot get it to not show non-Universal apps. There used to be a check box or slider for show Store apps only I thought. I cannot seem to get snipping tool to grab a screen shot of the menu open. The more I think about it the more I think I might have had a similar Universal Apps menu problem in the past. But I just don't recall well enough to say yea or nay.

I have a huge amount of skins installed, so I have no idea what does or does not come with Windowblinds at this point in time. I've been using it since the late 90s. Working: Altero by Lightstar Ax MacPC Not working: Acrylic 7-Win8 Trans 7 Plus eXperience11 Blue(Win11) Luna 2020 Mustang MustangGT Mostly but not entirely older skins that don't work. If I knew what the GUI element was I'd gladly go in

I have problems with specific menus when using the Start programs. Now on Start 11 v.2. When I pull a context menu for a shortcut on the Startmenu, or a folder from the Start/All Program I always get the following context menu color combination. I have so far not been able to get it to change with various skins. In the following screen shot I've done a right mouse click on the Citrix icon and this is the context menu I get. I've tried several skins, both old and new and they all seem to

Ignore I see that it is a known issue. So I upgraded from the Start 11 beta to V.2 and lost all the right side menus from my grid style Start11 Menu. Uninstall, reboot, reinstall the previous version, Start 11 1.47 and the Universal Apps menu is back. Upgrade over to v.2 and it's gone. All the right side menus shows Access Denied in very dark gray text. Ran the purge batch file. Ran Purge again, reinstalled the previous version if it's there again. <b

[quote who="DrJBHL" reply="5" id="3905165"] Quoting Hawkeye666, reply 4 Thanks, seems like any path I try to take to /explore/all is broken. other sub pages from /explore appear to work fine. I just finished modding a sub to the gallery, so I think the problem might be on your machine. <b
