If none of the above answers help you might also want to go through the BIOS settings in great detail. Once in a while intergrapted graphics will require you to tell the BIOS how much memory to give to the video subsystem. And in thsee settings may also be something to tell it how much memory there is, or more likely where to "map" this shred graphics memory. See if, for insteace you can tell it that this video memory needs to start at the 2 GB address line instead of the 1GB. It's a

What a nice human gesture. I have often ranted against the anonymity of the internet and how some people will hide behind it and treat others in ways they would never dare face to face. This is such a nice way to eliminate some of that. Val

For sound quality the iPod almost never wins comparisons to either the Creative Labs or Zune. But through those tiny ear buds that may not matter to a lot fo people. Creative Labs Zen now supports FLAC codec which is great since it is a lossless codec and provides great reproduction, though at the cost of storage space. When I bought mine about 18 months ago I did about a month of research adn the Creative Labs Zen was consistently the player reviewed with the best audio reprodu

I installed My Colors 2.70 on my Windows 7 x64 machine today. It rendered WindowsBlinds, Icon Packager both unactivated suddenly. In addition Windowblinds generated repeated errors in Explorer and when I finally was able to force a reboot WIndowsBlinds would not load at all. I went into Impulse and uninstalled My Colors and guess what? It removed WindowBlinds as well as My Colors. In addition though it seems like roughly every other build of My Colors over the last several months has
At the very minimum, AFAIK Aero on Vista/7 won't work if you have both ATI and nVidia drivers loaded simultaneously.
This problem is fixed in Windows 7. You can use Nvidia and ATI together now. In general on-board video is much much slower than discrete video, even when the chips of the on-board are of the same generatio as the discrete. In addition there is either shared memroy with system RAM or a much smaller than usual amoun

Totally disagree with your post. Back up your tin hat claims with some facts. What laws are trying to take away your religious freedom? By the way many honest hard working Americans do not beleive in your god. And the first amendment protects us from you making us either beleive or having our children polluted by superstition. You call Obama der Fuhrer? Wow, once again your rational mind is overpowering. I surprised you didn't call him the anti-christ while you were at

I have had no problems with Deskscapes on Windows 7, when running games at all. But I do have ATI CrossfireX instead of Nvidia SLI. I would would with the above suggestion first. Try a couple of different versions fo the Nvidia drivers to see what happens. I would recommend trying both newer first, then older drivers. Download driver sweeper from Guru3D and use it to remove the drivers before each new install. It can be found here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D---Driver-Sweep

Better late than never, yeah? I use Windowsblinds, CursorFX, and Icon Packager all the time. Logon and Tweak I also use quite a bit. I have become dependent on Multiplicity as well because it allows me to run two separete VPN connections one from each of my home machines to work one to my Prod machine and one to my Dev machine without the bottle neck of running both RDP sessions over one VPN connection.

Even with PAE the chipset still has to implement the remapping of the memory. For instance the Intel 945 chipset does NOT support the remapping of the memory and PAE provides no help what-so-ever. Not even with custom BIOS can you enable access to the full 4 GB memory space. Even then a 32-bit version of the O/S from Microsoft will not see the memory as useable, because it cannot see the remapped memort addresses since thay appear to be over the 4 GB limit. Again Microsoft confirms that here:

Excellent build FL. I would skip right over Vista and go to Win7. I like Vista, but it is no match for 7. But Obviously 64-bit is the must-have. I wonder if you can get the free upgrade to Win 7 on an OEM pack of Vista? Worth looking into to save money, yeah? On that SSD and upgrade to W7 might also be an issue compared to new install. I've seen significant difference in space eaten up between upgrade compared to fresh. And by Significant I mean a couple of GB, important when your O/S

That latest Start Panel is wonderful. I would also agree with whom ever said to go with the curving pip for the windows frame as well as the start panel as that gives a much more consitent feel to the work. Very good so far and can't wait to see more. You simply cannot let this go unfinished.

Kona, I disagree. It really depends on what you do with your PC. And of course it requires you have a 64-bit O/S. I have enouhg RAM that Windows doesn't even need to page out any kernel drivers at all. That makes the O/S much faster. Lots of Photoshopping with other apps open at the same time that RAM will really help. Hi-end gaming will also use a good chunk of the RAM. I write code and do a lot of testting and will sometimes have three or four virtual machines running at the same ti
