So you would have those starbases sitting right outside of your planet. What would be the point?

This was something that I noticed in DL too. The Drengin AI is one of the best implemented in my opinion. I think that it puts a large amount of money into overall spending, while focusing on research and military. When I would take over their planets they would be in absolutely terrible shape. However, if you let them get to the later game they have the chance to catch up economically and then they are very dangerous. Basically I love playing a game with them in it <img src="http:/
I have noticed that they tend to focus on mass drivers and armor (usually) a lot from the get go. They definitely play their role very well.
Or if you can split it up into separate questions. Also, some actual numbers would be nice. Logistics, total attack\defense and what type. Stuff like that. Like Mumble said, stock markets > all (well, usually ) They will make a PQ5 planet from a waste into a money making colony (not much, but some is better than none). One thing that you may want to look at is your spending and how yo
And if they do get in trouble then just don't declare war with them.
Checks and PayPal should be made out to Kryo Forum-Manager. There is also a $25 gratuity fee for these methods, but they will be well spent on a continued smooth running forum.
My guess on why they declared war on you is that you were winning\going to win with an influence victory, so they decided to try stop you any way possible. The plague mega even always works in my favor I can get the cure in a few weeks while the AI for whatever reason cannot do it, so all their planets go to a billion people.
Or it could be you see the tiles on the planet and you can use an agent to discover what building is there. Maybe a two-turn process so that there is a good chance he will die, then you see what the tile is and go straight to disabling it. Personally, when I go to war I find their main factory worlds and gut them first. With fewer ships against me and the capability to make them faster and closer to the fight, most wars don't last long.
One weird thing I noticed in my last game, I would declare war on a race and their allies wouldn't always declare war too. They may a month or two into the war, but it wasn't a two front war right off the bat.
They also remind me of the Klackan (sp?) from the MoO games.
I'm giddy I have to echo that comment about the epic generator. I really miss the idea of having it. I know you mentioned that there may be a chance we may see that again. I would really love to see that come back. Who knows....there have been a couple big patches before.....
This also sounds a little along the lines of Spore.
I like it!
1. No, only 'production tiles' can be sabotaged. 2. Nope. Once it stops working, it stops working until they Nullify with a spy of their own (thus killing both spies). 3. Yes. You will get a little red dot in the lower right corner of the planet, showing that they have a spy there. Also, in your Empire->Espionage tab, there is a list of where your spies are and where any enemy spies on your planets are. It tells you the planet and then the name of the tile (eg Earth Factory
Heh, I get stomped fairly often on Challenging. The AI's have been really good at ganging up on me when I am not allied and or am a different ethical alignment. I went back and tried a game of MoO2 on one of the harder settings, and I completely destroyed the AI in relatively short order.
Lol. The server boots both of you off cause you try to make bad moves I agree though, that there are a lot of bad people that you end up playing with in multi-player games. I also tried RTS's, and I ended up losing every time, usually through cheese tactics in the first 5 minutes. Now, when I play a game I would rather spend more time PLAYING the game than setting up one. And then there are
Well, I truly hope that the epic generator makes in some form...someday. While I am sure that it is a tough one to program (and to keep a story interesting\new), it would be a shame for a such a great idea and all the work that has been done on it get tossed on a shelf for a couple years or so.
I'll have to double check if it was in an asteroid field or not. Honestly can't remember (though I did notice the asteroid fields reduced speed to one).
I hated bombard from that game *shudders* I still have nightmares of AI invasions bombarding the same unit even though it couldn't die from it (I believe).
On a related not....Are space miners supposed to only have a speed of one? I loaded mine up with a couple of warp drives, I believe, and it still only has a move of one.
Again, I have to praise you guys for looking out for your customers. Thanks!
I am a big fan of the way that Nintendo went with their consoles. While I admit that I have always been a big Nintendo fan, I never really got into X-Box or Playstation (1 or 2) mainly because I never got into their games as much. Halo? Sorry, to me its an over-hyped crappy console shooter. Grand Theft Auto? Fun for awhile, then you run out of stuff to do (and that includes killing cops n hookers). Nintendo, for quite awhile, was the only console that had really NEW types of games, not jus
Haahahahahaha!
I forgot to have smart exception running, so I will post the debug file here. A couple notes on it..... 1) I know that I do not have the newest vid card drivers. When I had them, my whole system was more unstable, so I rolled back to these ones. This is also the first crash on these drivers in about 10-12 hours of gameplay in two sessions (Hooray for break!) 2) When the game crashed, the Drengin had just let me know that they were going to go to war with the Altarian
That's what I am getting from him. However, I don't think that would help me much. I usually design two or three variants of each class of ship I build so even with three different designer folders\screens it would still clutter up a lot for me.
