Don't forget to add the gamma adjustments. That should mutiply your amount by quite a bit. Isn't gamma correction used to settle differences in color hardware? I realize that this slider extends the colors available. However when attempting to have a desktop where everything matches, your hue/gamma slider is like apples and oranges, to the Windows Custom Color Selector. When the controls match I can type those 3 3-character RGB values very quick

I made a mistake in the percentages. What is available in the new range is only .038 percent of what was available in the last release. This is a HUGE difference don't you think? Sorry for dropping my decimal places... Dan Dunn
and the idea is that the exact numbers are useless I disagree. Having access to the rgb values allows an exact color, so different items can be EXACTLY the same; not just close. Isn't that why you offer a product called Theme Manager? Custom color support is built into WinXP and Win2K isn't it? And this function was working in the first 5.5 release (and every previous release.) I believe the artsy type folks are going to miss that featu
Running WB -v5.5. Prior to WB 5.5 custom color control allowed EXACT color selection by allowing the individual red, green and blue values to be set. After 5.5 you only have a hue slider, which is very difficult to get an exact color. A professional product needs finer detail than now currently enable with -v5.5. If this is not an oversight; then it is a downgrade. Dan Dunn
Aw, poor fella. Playing the victim isn't going to get you anywhere, either. I'm not looking for any sympathy; I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of Jafo (a manager at stardock I'm told) Dan Dunn
Personal attack upon your fellow site member is neither 'endured' nor endorsed Unless the attacked person has something negative to say about stardock; then you can call them a liar, a thief and a fool with impunity. see: https://forums.stardock.com/?forumid=166&aid=144365 and https://forums.stardock.com/?forumid=166&aid=144620
I'm really disappointed with Stardock service!! No need to repeat that as it doesn't solve anything. Even a statement as mild as this is stomped on by the stardock fanboys. I guess negative feedback is totally ignored here, except to persecute the bearer of such feedback. See: https://forums.stardock.com/?forumid=166&aid=144365 and https://forums.stardock.com/?forumid=166&aid=144620 Dan Dunn
Yes, there were 3 or 4 comments posted AFTER the thread was locked. That is a minor cache issue. The reason any such comment is removed once a lock is inplace is to protect the individual rights of ALL parties. Allowing someone to take a parting jibe at another's expense, without capacity to reply is not acceptable, hence their removal. One of the deleted messages was a response to Zoomba where I acknowledge his lack of animosity and i
It would seem that the cosmos is aligned badly for the stardock forum, TarkusShakti and myself. I attempted at least 4 times to login. I keep getting set to a page with only this written: "object moved here (and the word "here" was a link) or I would get a login failed message. I use roboform for entering my username and password so there weren't any typos....And I was able to immediately login as another user. Very Curious! 'Fanboy' in this context is an open
If stardock is such a great company and such nice ppl, why don't they answer their email at [email protected]? Take my experience and the experiences of TarkusShakti and it doesn't look like they answer some emails. What excuse is there for not replying to emails? jafo doesn't like the label "fanboy." The Wikipedia defines fanboy as: Fanboy or fanboi is a term used to describe an individual (usually male, though the feminine version fangirl may be used for females) who is ut
And perhaps you can justify this remark? Sounds like you are a regular visitor to file sharing networks and the only reason you could be doing that is to download unlicensed software. OK, I've covered this before but I'll cover it again: In evaluating my resubscribing to OD I decided to use a mild threat to attempt to garner some co-operation from stardock support. I had done the search on google for "stardock torrents." As I indicated earlier
clwoods wrote: Buying the software is the only criteria called for to legally use this site to download the skins. I'm having this conversation on forums.stardock.com not wincustomize.com. Where can you download skins on stardock.com? And I can legally run the version of the software which is current when my subscription expires. So I can use wincustomize.com for as long as there are skins there which work with my version of the softwa
You came right out and told us you're a thief. and where did I do that? Where have I said I download cracked programs? Any copy of a Stardock program not bought from Stardock is a crack. Tell me you aren't really this stupid. I already stated this, but you must have missed it in your rush to judgment; I now have a OD subscription, why would I download other versions? <div class="Artic
It's a crime when you hop on the torrents to download cracked programs instead of doing the right thing and buying them to help support the developers for all their hard work. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck....etc. Where have I said I download cracked programs? I only said they were available as an alternative to waisting my money. Why would I download cracked programs from stardock, I already have a subscription. So again more wild speculati
22 years of illegal activity... no matter how you slice it. Why is it when ppl disagree with you they are so willing to jump to conclusions, especially if those conclusions put you in a bad light. Where does this flamer Night Train get 22 years of illegal activity from what I wrote above. Is accessing the internet a crime? Is downloading software a crime? You should understand that writing such as this is called LIABLE. You can be
Theft is wrong. You can justify it all you want but it's still stealing. You are correct. Taking my money every year and ignoring my bug reports (made by email to [email protected]) is theft. We agree on something. For 1 getting legal Trojan & virus free programs. You've been mis-informed (brainwashed). When a hundred ppl have downloaded something, if there's any kind of problem; the word gets around
This is so apropos I just had to share this... After writing the above message, I loaded up SDC to start archiving the apps I use. Under Object Desktop, I selected Component Tray and right-clicked it. As I did that a window popped-up and asking me if I wanted to renew. Well, the menu window was open and no matter what I clicked on SDC was frozen... Thanks for reinforcing what I already knew.
I got my subscription renewal notice today. I'm sitting here wondering why I subscribe... Last year within a week of renewing I sent 13 bug reports over two days time. In this year, one of these problems has been resolved completely. One has been half-fixed and the other 11 have been ignored. I can get all of these programs from p2p for no charge. I see updates on p2p that only lag SDC releases by about 24 hours. Free is about the right price for what I'm getting. So I
WOW - a free skin; what a concept! Well free for 11 months anyhow (you should note the expiration with the key given.) This makes up for the lack of attention WC subscribers got when those two new libraries (objectbar2 and right-click) were made available to the general public - but NOT available to WC subscribers thru SDC. It took, what 2 weeks, for these to be available....? PS: It must have been a shock to all these fanboys to
Seabass6.7's recommendation (to delete all the config files) worked. Now tech support can close this problem since they feel they have fixed the bug. But what caused the problem in the first place? I don't edit these config files manually... so there still is a bug somewhere!
When you installed the newest version of OD 1.5 did you install right over the old version? Have you tried uninstalling the whole thing and getting a fresh version? I use SDC for installing/de-installing these programs. I've been told by sd support that that is the preferred method for these functions. If deinstalling is required before upgrading
Can you describe your problem better? I think what I wrote originally is sufficient for most support professionals who are familiar with the product - but since these professionals may not exist: Under Dock Properties/Positioning/Layering: when "always on top" is selected the behavior is "always on bottom" AND when "always on bot
version: 1.50 Plus build: 528u have you considered a QA process?
Well now it's been 9 days since the announcement of these new libraries. And they still are not avalible to the PAYING CUSTOMERS with a wincustomize subscription? Why PAY for wincutomize? Dan Dunn PS: as in my original message, I have "Refreshed Libraries"
It's a shame that these new galleries are not available to the paying customers who use the wincustomize browser. I've refreshed libraries and don't see them. "...a day late and a dollar short..."
