the slow down mechanic (currently 33%) makes disengaging impossible. I guess "rushing past your enemy" was worse than "once you start a fight, you are in for the whole thing, even if vastly out numbered".

umm...gtx780 does support DX12 ...and...as I said (and you quoted), I am running the _dx12.exe version from the game folder...it runs, but in DX11 mode.
confused. Nvdia says the card support it http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-560ti/specifications So you are saying that support is at the game level? I would have thought card that supports+drivers+game that supports is what it takes?
moved to Win10 this weekend. If I select "Dx12" from inside Steam, the screen flickers and then nothing (back to steam) If I go manually to the file location (inside \common\ folder), and run the Ashes_Dx12.exe, the game starts but I believe it is only DX11 based on the results from the benchmark tests. So DX11 laucnhes with either .exe and DX12 won' launch from Steam at all (DX11 does launch from steam) System S
If not, then even when you click your units to attack, they don't (speed or attacking something else?) and the AI goes running past...happens in almost every game...will try to capture video
Quoting Frogboy, reply 26 During the alpha, it was a common tactic to just run right through the enemy. NOT fun. now it's a common tactic to stab a unit group with a couple cheap units to incapacitate it completely. NOT FUN.
Yup. &nbs
i avoid battlegroups just because of this mechanic but it seems to have a AOE effect even on ungrouped units Also, the AI does not seem effected by it; I have had units that I fired on just keep going by at high speed while my units sit there are a crawl --25% slow down plus terrain blocking is even worse.
Quoting chemie99, reply 3 Engage with one group and hold back other; once OPFOR is locked down, go zipping by I think its an AOE range and direct hits, if you are near an enemy and you loose movement speed, without the need to be at
Are you saying the rest of us have been offering lower quality feedback thus far? The speed penalty in combat was in one of the patch notes. I believe it reduces speed to 25% of max. One reason was to avoid situations where armies would move right through each other with few casualties, which really made area control and front-line combat frustrating. To add to the negative impacts, it also makes retreat not much better t
orbital bombardments might make defense a bad thing anyway
were we supposed to get beta codes for friends or something?
autot add to battle group is important...and the whole stop rearranging yourself is important too (I often do not want to form just knowing it will move units all around for the next 2 minutes and prevent me pushing forward - they often move backwards)
formatting is OP
Yah, who's the chick supposed to be?
I hated nukes in the originals....

I am trying to reproduce. It might be related to having too many units queued up but not sure if it is the queue for that factory or if it a global queue count that breaks it. Also, I have seen a large factory stop producing because it had regular unit queued there...perhaps the queues are overflowing into each other?
Is there a way to delete buildings? I need to mostly because I keep getting a bug where the factories stop building (mid queue) and still consume resources and there is no way to undo it....but I could also see other reason you want to delete buildings too.
This is an issue in several maps. Asymmetric is fine but putting one Turinium node in a place that highly rewards one player/team is not good.
played my first 2v2 and my ally had orange health bars, same color as OPFOR. Hope you are working on that too (It was near impossible to tell ally from foe based on the main screen colors and even on min map was hard to tell if my ally was rolling through me or a baddie
I disagree. I am saying that you should have a certain number of "steps" above and below a base level. If the base level is at the bottom, that does not make sense BTW...on Deneb, I found Normal to be at about my limt but on Proxima, it was much easier. So either bug on Deneb or somehow related to resources and the algorithm for the AI
Thanks. Missed that part ;-)
....need to rescale the range (not just the cheat part). If normal takes everything a good player takes to win (where I am right now), that does not leave much on the lower side of more casual players or learning to play players.
any function right now? Everything researched at start on purpose?
and I think F1 now goes to idle repair units which is not good. Just engineers please.
