I agree with some of the points, and especially point no.8 about the design lacking character. Most of the classic RTS games not only had great gameplay, but they also had a certain character and personality to them. AOK had the medieval setting, Starcraft had a huge backstory and unique artwork for each unit, C&C had the cold war setting with interesting personalities, Homeworld's units, music and backgrounds really captured that feeling of space combat and Dawn of War had the WH40k

I generally like the selection of the ground units (some artwork and uniqueness issues notwithstanding), but the game needs more air units. Right now, all we have is a scout, an air-to-air fighter and a heavy bomber. The heavy bomber is expensive and gets shot down by AA fairly easily. And since the AI rarely builds bombers, we don't need to build air to air fighters. Some suggestions - 1) a Tier 1 gunship, capable of doing decent damage against Tier 1 ground units (might need to
I am fine with two races if they are sufficiently different in strategy, unit types, play style etc. But as mentioned above by others, if the only difference is minor such as shields, faster speed etc., then that will definitely reduce the game's replayability.
I agree. The unit art work for the most part currently makes them look like toys rather than actual fighting units. The dreadnoughts are well designed and look intimidating enough. But the rest of the units lack that 'meant for battle' feel. Perhaps a more realistic color scheme might help.
I just started playing Ashes and as a long term RTS enthusiast, I'm definitely impressed so far. One question about groups: is it possible to add or remove a unit from an existing group? In one of my games yesterday, my lead battlegroup started to lose units so I wanted to reinforce it with new units. I couldn't figure out how though. If this is not possible currently, it would be great if this feature could be added. It would make group management easier.
