It does make you wonder what their QA person actually does to warrant an update to fix a patch to fix a game so quickly!
*WHACK* I hope that was tongue-in-cheek. :)

Disclaimer - I am not the original author of this article. Credits and original link are at the bottom. I cannot be the only one who feels as if every new day brings a new assault on this nation and its people by this administration. Indeed, many people I know say they can't even watch the news anymore because it's so depressing. And it is. Some of these assaults occur under the radar, and

What is interesting is that the original post was taken from a 1947 pamphlet published on what it means to be an American Citizen. There are 82 pages of content but I thought this might spark some discussion, or at least cause someone to consider what rights and responsibilities we have. I agree that if 'the government giveth' the government can take it away. Which of course is the very reason the Federal Government is so intent on creating bogus 'rights' (aka entitlements) which allow it to

I AM AN AMERICAN - These rights and privileges are mine: I may think as I please. I may speak or write as I please, so long as I do not interfere with the rights of others. I have the right to vote. By my vote I choose the public officers who are really my servants. I have the right to choose my work, to seek any job for which my experience and ability have fitted me. I have the right

I agree with you regarding first strike option. However if you read what President Obama committed us to, it also addressed removing retaliatory strikes from our response options. I can (unfortunately) conceive of a scenario where a nuclear retaliatory strike could be necessary. Release of a modified EBola virus in a major metropolitan area, VX in the water supply, etc. So essentially, he said, "Except for Korea and Iran, everybody else gets a free pass. You no longe

It isn't the Democrats, it is the United States Congress (D+R+I) and the Executive Branch, who seems to think that the 'for the people' part needs to be stripped off the Constitution and the 'by the people' means the 'polling majority' (aka however many people we can get whipped into a frenzy). People forget that this (the U.S. of A.) isn't supposed to be a true majority rule democracy it is a representative republic.

The Middle East is becoming more unstable by the hour. Two of the factors which have caused it to remain at a low to medium simmer over the last 40 years have been the strong backing of the United States for Israel, coupled with nominally pro-western (or at least heavily secularized) governments in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt. However the rapid weakening of our pro-Israel position by President Obama is causing the fanatical religious sects of Islam to gain increasing power in the formerly

That depends: Are you using the term 'Jews' in the ( A ) ethnic/citizenry (i.e. Jew == Israeli citizen) sense or the ( B ) religious sense? If ( A ) then 2 elsif ( B ) then 1. I believe Israel should have the right to set their own rights and rules for their citizens vs. non-citizens just as every other nation does.

Wow...I was just thinking about GalCiv (the original) game and realized that it has been 15 years since it was released on OS/2. Amazing. The AI was so groundbreaking that it made up for the block/tile graphics. I remember many many long nights playing games and my best friend and I waiting for the other person to finish up and get off the freaking computer. Nostalgia, nostalgia. My friend was one of the early beta testers for GalCiv II if I recall correctly, and I waited eagerly for it's rel

I have read various portions of one of health care reform bills (HB3200) and found over the last few months that most people don't really want to have a discussion it. My experience has been that as soon as you start
... but everybody agrees that the world is warming on a global scale, just not if its manmade or not, isn`t that right? So..no you cannot be a global warming skeptic because it is an empirical fact, or so I heard again from unspecified sources. Average temperatures are rising slowly but surely, the northwest passage will be shipable soon and the polar caps are melting, which actually makes the people in greenland happy...
<

It's interesting that you would post this because I find myself in the same boat. I feel I'm fairly enviornmentally conscious, and am quite careful of things like ground water pollutants, pesticide and herbicide use, etc, using targeted things only where necessary. I've been following the climatological debate since the 70's. I did a report in AP science in the 7th grade regarding global cooling - or the coming ice age as it was hyped then, and am far more familiar with the science and math i
