You can extend your range with starbases. Build one on the end of your range. Your range has then grown so you can build another one even closer to that planet. Repeat until taht planet is in your range. You only need to build a starbase to get the range benefit you don't need to add anything to it.

I did a simulation in excel and the result is quite surprising. It seems that balancing the numbers of both is best in the long run. I forgot one crucial thing when I calculated the point where you should stop building stock markets: each farm increase the revenue of stock markets, so even if the farm itself produces less then one additional stock market could other stock markets make it more profitable then one additional stock markets. Pl
Now we can decide the ideal population/eco improvement ratio(when no econ bonuses), I ignore the effect of tourism for the moment: The highest level of a fram "advanced farming" produces 8 food which allows it to feed 8 billion people. 8 billeon people produce at 50% taxes 5*8= 40 gold. You need to build around 1-2 entertainment improvements/farm to keep your population happy. each one costs 2 maintenance. The highest level of st
Assuming no bonuses 100 million people produce 1 BC at 100% tax rate. So at 50% tax 1 BILLION poeple would produce 5 BCs. Thanks this exactly the type of info I needed.
How much money does 1 billion people produce(50% tax, no bonuses)? It would be usefull to build ideal "cash cow" planets to know how much each inhabitant exactly produces. From that could the ideal farm/trade improvement ratio be calculated(how more population how more each trade center shall add to your planet, so there comes a moment where tarde centers shall start adding more then an addition farm can ever add).
So that means that defense is bad against someone who attacks with one big ship(with a ton of guns) but good agains someone who attacks with many small ships.
How works defense vs muliply weapon ships? Does the defense defend against each gun seperatly or does it defened against the total fire power of the ship? My 2 beam defense ships where defending very well vs 7 beam attack ships, so I suppose that that 7 beam attack ship had many small beams who where each absorted by my beam defense, is this how it works?
Social production is indeed "Wasted". This was a game balance decision. The manual is incorrect is all. It would be much harder to manage your economy if the net revenue was changing drastically every time you got a new technology that started upgrading your planetary improvements. There could be another sollution: 50% of the unused social pr
try to look at Benelux release date? 3 march That was indeed the case but is no longer. Shops here still don't have it and they don't have a release date anymore. If it was released on 3 march then would I off course have bought the game and not made a post asking about the new release date. someone got this reply from pa
It seems nobody knows
When shall galciv2 be release in Belgium/Netherlands? First said teh shops 3 March but tehy don't have the game yet and they removed teh release date so I think they are as clueless about it as me. nyone have any idea when it shall be released in Belgium/Netherlands? Is the game going to be in English or Dutch in Belgium/Netherlands? Because if the game itself is in Dutch(that could explain delay) then woudl I rather download it from totalgaming. But if it is in English shall I wait
Scenario 2: A goes for some defense: A has 8 offense, 2 defense and has 10 HP. B has 10 offense, has 2 defense and has Oops this must be off course: Scenario 2: A goes for some defense: A has 8 offense, 2 defense and has 10 HP. B has 10 offense, has 0 defense and has
While I don't have the game yet do many people seem to forget one crucial thing: defense allows extra offense. Scenario 1: A has 10 offense, 0 defense and has 10 HP, B has 10 offense, 0 defense and has 10 HP When B attacks can it take A out in 1 round! When A attacks and doesn't take B out in round 1, can B take A out in round 1. Scenario 2: A goes for some defense: A has 8 offense, 2 defense and has 10 HP. B has 10 offense, has 2 defense and has 10 HP When B attac
re shall be an option like that because that would require a complete rebalancing of all buildings there effects just for that single option.
when a civilization is losing could it agree to become your satelite empire. From then on would the following be true for that empire: -It has and generates your influence/culture, this also means that it's cities are save from flipping to the master empire because it has the same culture. -It does no longer have an idependent foreign policy. Instead does it have the foreign policy of the master empire. -satelite empires always have the same form of gover
I think that the law vs chaos aspect of a civ could be expanded more in galciv 2. Most events had more to do with good vs evil then lawfull vs chaos this while lawfull vs chaotic also plays a huge role in politics. So I think there could be more lawfull vs chaotic events. A possible chaotic vs lawfull event could be: Racism is running rampant in our empire, many young humans are now wearing shirts with racistic messages and forming racistic organizations.
ge the abstract layout and function of my planet but the governor does all the rest.
ial/economical buildings factor in this? Would I when I discover "fusion power plants" upgrate all my factory areas? Or shall there simply be no more building technology(so there are only 5 buildings)?
ughts of course in order to avoid too much micriomanagement should only a few of those small planets be that way.
r evil civilizations become it's puppets. While the Yor collective would at the same time use it's money to set the good civs up against each other.
sons to make mining/factory colonies who produce ships like crazy but don't do anything else
With the way galciv worked was it unprofitable to colonize planets like mars because the game build an entire and full functioning civilization on it. But In reality don't I think that that is the thing humans shall do on mars. But mars might be filled with resources so I can definitly see a small mining colony being very profitable. Small planets on average have more heavy materials on there surface(like Iron and gold) then bigger planets. But small
