Better. nice to see a post from with some content in it. I like those a lot more than the normal course of blog-flogging.

There are times that I bristle at the poor grammar and spelling on blogs. I will readily cop to that as well, but as long as they have generally formatted their posts I don't mind too much. If it is just one long block text with no paragraphs or indents, punctuation, and every other word is misspelled and their first language is english I migh

There are ways to do it, but many of the people with the means won't do it. Larry has some good points but one that is left unanswered in the study is in fact the case of the folks who simply won't be helped no matter what. I nice example from right here in town. There is a free shelter where anyone can go to get food, water, and shelter for a

Suicide bombing has never been a historical part of Islamic culture, This statement alone demonstrates how divorced from reality you are my friend. If this wasn't a part of Islamic culture then Muslims would take to the streets in outrage whenever a homicide bomber blows themselves up. Let me know when that starts hap

I try and read the Daily Kos on accasion to keep some persective on things from the extreme Left side of the aisle. Today I didn't get very far though. The actual post isn't bad, it is the commentary from the Kos Kidz that really makes me want to vomit. For those who don't know, <A href="http://www.mich

30 million Americans are so poor they don't eat every day. That's a fact. No thats called shooting your mouth off without proving your assertion. This sounds very much liek something a high schooler heard from a leftist teacher without much regard for the actual facts involved. - You claim that 10% of America doesn't eat everyday. US P

the so called poor of america live like kings and queens It has a great deal to do with people's financial management decisions. Thing is when the government is the one supplying their incomes, the government should probably also be making al their day-to-day decisons too. Send them groceries each month instead of food money. This way it does

Olbermann's opening rhetoric is that of the total pacifist. "Would you intervene?" is disengenous unless you simply beleive that no leader ever has the right put the nation's military in harms way. That is what the military does. We didn't join to play patty-cake. The Iraq strategy of the nation needs work but his arguments against "sacrificing" more soldiers is specious and frankly a bit retarded. What do you think soldiers do?

There is a great article discussing Alan Reynold's new book, "Income and Wealth" over at TCS daily that prompted me to remember this. As a long time employee of Domino's pizza I already knew that America's "poor" are actually quite rich. Let me briefly explain. Each week as a Domino's driver I would routinely delivery the most pizza to trailer park homes, rent-controlled we

Two things : 1. Maybe something this long should be a multi-part post. 2. I know it sucks but going through and indenting the paragraphs makes long posts more readable. I enjoy the subject matter but both the length and formatting make it hard to get through.

The question is how do we empoer the majority of Muslims, perhaps, to my view, the only genuine Muslims, who do have a problem with the suicide bombing of civilians. They need to empower themselves. They need to be out in the streets calling for fatwas on terrorists in the same way that the terror supporters take to the streets everytime somet

Jim Jones, heaven's Gate. etc. etc. etc. Indeed but these were very small percentages of society. The rest of society barely tolerates these sorts of folks and certainly doesn't encourage them. Take the same movements into poor dicontented societies and the number of recruits grows huge and the level of control starts to include even those wh

A good article but it does leave out one thing : The leaders of the suicide bombers do not care that their followers cannot be used again. In fact it works for them because it serves to drain people who might be useful and vital to their culture. Prosperity is the enemy to the Imams and power-monger of the Islamist world. The way for these men to retain power is to have a miserable and poor population base to draw from. A highly motivated young mn is better spent on a cafe full fo civilians r

Are you kidding? Look at some vido of other hangings by Iraqis or other Arabs. By comparison the Saddam execution was positively sedate. You aren't going to get a more professional execution than Saddam's out of Arab culture my friend. Delighting in an enemies downfal in public and loud fashion isn't looked down on. The "outrage" you are talking about here didn't even come close to the dancing in the streets <

***Full Disclosure : I, Greywar, have wholeheartedly despised the most recent crop of General and lesser officers in general for quite some time. I am in fact quite biased on this issue.*** That being said I am less than stunned and mainly saddened to see this from Army Chief of Staff Schoomaker :
