This installs as a memory patch of Active Directory and since it’s not logged and completely silent, it’s very difficult to detect. It also generates no network traffic.
Putting this in context... - This requires administrator access to an AD controller. This is not something that can be done by compromising a workstation (though if you have admin access on the controller, a compromise of your workstation could be a stepping stone). LH should only prompt for your Stardock account, not for a serial key. Please open a support ticket via https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit and support should be able to help.

FYI - just did a quick benchmark and checked the actual power draw; it never broke 320W with the GPU at 99%. That's actual full system draw at the outlet with an i7, factory overclocked GTX970, and monitors included (it's from the real-time display on the UPS). At idle it's under 120W. I have an 850W supply, since I when I first built this machine I had the GTX480 which was far more demanding (it could draw 300W on its own ). The wattage figures that the GP
once your FPS go over 100 does it the has a "coil whine" it is said that they all have it i can barely hear it with my case closed but it does do have it, so i wonder if yours does the same or if i should simply return it and wait for one that doesnt hae that feature
Some do, some don't, and some manufacturers will or won't replace it if yours does. I've only noticed my GTX970 doing it on certain benchmarks
So, what are my risks if I use these mods?
The risks of using mods on the beta: - You incorrectly report problems caused by mods as bugs with the game, taking dev time to investigate non-issues. - You fail to report game issues fixed or mitigated by mods, and as a result they don't get noticed and fixed in the base game.

Uncheck Fullscreen in the options and turn the resolution down. Though note that the fullscreen option is technically windowed (nonexclusive) anyway, it just stretches whatever resolution you choose to your screen.

You shouldn't need to unzip it again--just make sure you run the copy you unzipped (go to where you unzipped it--any shortcuts you had to run the game will still point at the old copy unless you update those yourself). You can move those files and delete the old ones as you like once you've figured it all out.
Just to be sure I understand. The download was am entire GalCiv II game with the updates, not just the updates?
That is correct. We don't provide patch files, just the whole latest version of the game. That is why it was 1.18GB.

You don't update anything. The whole final version of the game is in the package from the store downloads page. I suspect the prompt you got when doing it again was just due to extracting it in the same location as you did the first time. You can just run the copy you extracted in the location you extracted it, and toss your old copy.

It sounds like you were working with GameStop support--you don't need to bother with GameStop at all. They might have given you a Steam key since that is all they sell now, but that's just a guess. They dropped support for the client app entirely a while back now and didn't support third party key registrations for a couple of years before that. At any rate, you can download the game straight from us off the Stardock store website. All you should need to do is locate your

You can register retail copies [link="https://services.stardock.net/accounts/registerproduct.aspx"]here[/link] if you haven't previously and download the latest version [link="https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products"]here[/link] after doing so (or if you already did years ago). If you registered it in the past, make sure to log in with the same account; [email protected] can help track it down if you've lost it.
