Sounds good to me! Cheers

And you, have you seen one? Yes, 8 as a matter of fact. They circle the sun. Two closer in, 6 further out. Cheers
Texas, I understand where you're coming from. Having said that, I have three children old enough to be in the armed forces. They're my kids. Their friends are kids, and to be honest, anyone more than about 18 years younger than me, is a kid. I think this is less about the people in their mid-20s in the military being called "kids" being offended, and more about anybody in their mid-20s being called "kid" being offended. However, when I watch the 20something
Anytime after 1945, until approximately 1956. Everyone except the soviets loved the Marshall Plan. Cheers
As an eagle scout, the son of an eagle scout and the father of two eagle scouts, none of whom have ever voted for a republican for national office, all of which are card carrying members of the ACLU, I would invite you to bugger off. The Boy Scouts have far more units sponsored by Presbyterian Churches than Army Bases. The Boy Scouts also discriminate. For that matter, so does the military. In fact, the American Bar Association had to grant special dispensation to
And thus we retreat to the attitude which served us so well in the containment philosophy of the post war era. Cheers
I doubt it, I write books, we are already defensely against the evils of Xerox. On the plus side, the only people who buy my books are college students, typically ones in my class, I'm half convinced. Cheers
Hey, moral values were the most important thing to me in this election, and I voted for Kerry. For me it was an issue of, war on false pretenses, or war with honor, and I thought Kerry could give honor. Anyway, that's just my view. Cheers
There's El Salvador too. Cheers
However, reverse engineering, trying to defeat copyright protections and discussing those things, ought to be illegal. I have a feeling Brad would back me up on those. There's nothing worse for a software engineer, my sister in law is one, for her software to suddenly end up being sold on the market with no royalties going to the engineer. Cheer s
If you're ranting against redundant laws, I totally agree, there needs to be only one law criminalizing a certain behavior. Cheers
I've repeatedly said I know nothing about the others, only Gary Trudeau. As for your other reputable news sources, I regret to say I have heard of none of them. I have heard of CNN however, and searching their site came up with no news regarding Mr. Trudeau. Also, as I said, searching the archives of Doonesbury, the last reference to Dr. Rice was several months ago. It's from the April 7 2004 copy of Doonesbury. Is Trudeau a racist? No. Does he o
hate to tell you this DNCdude. But most people consider CNN right up there with FoxNews CNN as conservative as Fox? hardly. The main complaint with CNN is that rather than sit down and report on a story, they simply, as an old professor of mine used to say, "Barf on the page" TM. FoxNews does less barfing on the page,
No person, NO PERSON, is safe until that abortion of a law is rescinded! The abortion of a law? First off that metaphor doesn't make any sense. Second off, as someone who's written items that have been published, I'm happy to have copyright laws. Cheers
He was banished To quote my youngest son, "Cool". Little_Whip, since I previously commented on politicalmachine.com and not Joeuser.com, I never really understood how the point thing worked. Where can I find information on that? That's an open question to anyone who's got the answers. Cheers
I'll ask the question again. "So your saying that the *gunner* from Kerry's boat was a liar"? Yes. Either that, or Senator Kerry was. Now, one could say, who would have the most to gain from lying? Kerry would gain some prestige by saying, "Hey, look at me, I'm a decorated war hero." and we could leave it
Douglas Adams, the author to who I was refering, once mentioned that an old woman on hospice care carried around a towel with her until she died because she firmly believed the HitchHikers Guide the Galaxy's point about how you can never be unprepared when you have your towel. Cheers
It's possible I was being overly sensitive, my point was that I was agreeing with you. I only wanted to clarify that you were refering to the Debt and not the Deficit. Cheers
The plus side of having taken a 6 month hiatus from this site means that anything written about me has been buried deep in the files, and would require a lot of effort to find. I also noticed that my largest previous detractor, SirPeterMaxwell has been exiled from the site. Having said that, the Drs are working very hard to fill his place with their bile. By the way, to anyone who was around 6+ months ago, whatever happened to SirPeterMaxwell? Cheers
Yes, I did read your post, and as a subscriber to Doonesbury.com I went and checked it out. Since I have access to the archives, I wanted to find out when this reference was made, and it was made months ago, before there was even discussion about Colin Powell resigning. My point was that your post was either a mistake, or, lies. Which is it? I assumed it was a mistake and so I brought the mistake to your attention. You have now repeated your baseless allegation w
I did read all the threads, allow me to clarify my statement. Tax cuts during war=bad. War presents a unique opportunity for a president to convince the people of the added need to increase taxes. Putting aside that rationale, expenditures always increase during war time. They always increase, there has never been a case of war when a state was spending less during a time of war than after. Since that wasn't the main thrust of the post that you were sni
True, but I'm not a celebrity on any level. I've written a few history books, I was a partner at a rather prestigious firm, and I currently teach Ancient European History. If I could sit next to the Governor of Arkansas, than why is it unreasonable that a member of the press, who has some facial recognition, or even a celebrity like Michael Moore, could sit next to a former president. Would you like to create a vast conspiracy theory because I've shaken the hand of four
You are refering to the total debt, not the total deficit. And an increase of approximately 4 trillion dollars over four years is very bad. Tax cuts work, but so do tax increases, especially when there are a large number of new expenditures. The tax cuts would hav been better after the wars, not during. Cheers
As I said, I don't know about the others, however, Trudeau, whether or not other besides NewsMax are running the story, will not be fired. Especially since the last strip which had President Bush referring to Dr. Rice as "Brown Sugar" was several months ago. I think any backlash we would have seen against him would have already happened. Cheers
Income Tax is not the only kind of tax the federal government can levy. Tariffs for instance. Cheers
