Speaking of... If/When they build a GC4 I hope they revisit their map design. I think there are interesting hybrids between "lanes" and "Tiles" that could be done. For example, each system could be so many tiles, just like we are used to.... but with a border. Past that border are other tiles (possibly much larger) known as "Deep Space". These Deep Space tiles require much more time to pass through, and space battles do not necessar
Is the orbital defense platform supposed to upgrade to the planetary defense dome? If so, it doesn't appear to.
This bug goes back to last July. The Planetary Defense Dome, which takes quite a while to research, never shows up in the build list. It's set to upgrade from "PlanetaryDefenseSystem" (in Improvements.xml) which doesn't exist. Or am I missing something?

It can be any ship, including the prototype upgrades of scouts or survey ships. Every custom ship needs a corresponding set of files in the Designs folder. When you open your civ in the civ builder, under Fleets, all of the master ships have to be present, including that tiny shuttle that gets your citizens to their assigned planets. Otherwise game will CTD. Copy the default Terran race and open their Fleets to see the master list. The fact that the civ creator generates

It's not simply attitude, but who's job will get cut because the revenue isn't there. Steam gives you access to a HUGE market, but to survive you need very good re
How about all unused tiles produce food (a variable supply depending on the tile and/or planet type) as long as you don't build on them. Some improvements could increased the food they produce. So basically, almost everything is arable land, to some degre. Just like in real life, actually. Settlers can do basic farming on every tile of the planet, as long as there isn't infrastructure occupying the place. Then, some buildings

Installed GRM 8.0, playing Crusade. Launched a huge game with a dozen races, no issues. For a clean install, rename the existing My Games/GC3Crusade folder which forces the game to create a new clean folder. Launch, quit and install GRM in the new GC3Crusade folder. Then add in any other mods or designs after GRM is installed. But this mod is so awesome, you really don't need any additions. This method resets your preferences, so be sure and recheck Enable Mods. The races and

Your structures and ships have some incredible detail. GRM really showcases what's possible with the in-game editor. Possible if you also add the imagination of Gauntlet, of course. For people who like to turtle and empire build (like me), the intricacies of this mod add an immersion level that draws you right in. I can't wait for this next round of pirates! I've always had MOO2 at the top of the 4X list, but Crusade and its new killer AI along with the latest iterations of GR

Judging by the screenshot, great job! Tools like this are very useful and make modding a lot easier. It's really helpful to have a visual representation vs scrolling through XML files. Especially the hidden stats. Thanks! Adding in the prerequisites and preclusions would be a handy addition too. (Having said all that, I can't get it to run on Win8.1 64. I suspect my paths are wrong. I noticed the XML files mention Crusade but it's not in the default setup.)

One of the noteworthy aspects of this mod is the epic amount of innovation. On Steam Workshop there are too many "Star Wars/Trek" mods, which get redundant and dull pretty fast. The GRM factions have ships with a lot of originality. The Terran Sovereignty Scout, Kirani Constructor and Quantum Cyberiat shipyard are a few that are extraordinary. And unlike Star Wars/Trek, Gauntlet's ship styles fit within the context of the GC3 universe, matching the original races perfect

I don't think you need ShipStyleSet for simply awarding a ship. Those files are compressed. GRM uses a xxx_FactionShipStyleSetDefs.xml and xxx_ ShipClassDefs.xml for each style. They're just in the Mod -> Games folder. However: New in ShipBlueprintDefs.xml New in ShipClassDefs.xml. Be sure blueprint is named (there are a few types) New AwardShipOfClass</Action&
