I hope you had a Happy Birthday Hank! Sorry I missed it....
Lantec
Congratulations! Another great list.
Happy Birthday Curtis! Stop in more often.
Congratulations!! Very well deserved.
I'm hoping to upgrade to 10 next month.....trip to Texas is commandeering all my discretionary spending this month.
Perhaps the mods have it the hardest trying just to keep up with the damn conversation and making sure we're all good little smurfs and smurfettes)
We try to remain as "hands off" as possible and when we can't we'd rather work behind the scenes to avoid embarrassing any individual. The use of smilies help to convey tone and avoid confusion.
I believe this might be the thread that Gaspershooters is referring to. https://forums.wincustomize.com/364637
I do have my uxtheme.dll and related files patched to run unsigned themes, but I can't imagine that's the problem, is it?
I would think it likely is. Impulse may be having issues when it detects altered system files.
So far Neil hasn't responded to this post. He's pretty good about checking the forums, especially after he puts out an update, but he may not have seen it yet. If you want to be sure he gets the message open a ticket at and include a link to this thread. The forums are not for "official" support but rather user helping user. Frankly, I don't have any issues with Dopus/Windowblinds and haven't since
Truly, Lantec. It's a great piece of software.
Yes it is. I've been using it so long and have mine so heavily customized I can hardly function with Explorer.
My first computer was a (Radio Shack) Tandy TRS-80
TRS-80 Model 5 for me....doing survey closures, vertical alignment for roadways and programming in BASIC... Personally I've always thought we went off course after DOS 3.....damn graphical user interface.... ;)
You can't seriously be looking at that and saying, "there's no problem that needs fixing here"
I have a feeling this relates to (or is a leftover from) a fix for an earlier incompatability between the 2 programs. Since DOpus doesn't actually use an "open" dialog it's not easily noticed. I imagine Neil will see this thread and respond.
DOpus doesn't skin the open dialog though. It's being actively targeted and messed with by WB! Grab notepad.exe, make a copy, rename it dopus.exe, then hit CTRL-O. Unacceptable.
Just out of curiosity how often do you add new certificates? Until today I've looked at that dialog exactly 1 time....now twice.
It's strange to me that certain skins display fine, but others do not...
It's probably tied to the size of the graphic used for that part of the skin. Dopus may have issues if it's not the same height as a normal aero title bar. (Just a guess)
welcome back Carl
...$2 per hour made it so..
I remember paying Compuserve $22.50 an hour just before or at about the time 9600 baud modems were just coming out. The local BBS was 300 baud so that was screaming.... I have a hard time getting out from behind the monitor as well. I spend 8-10 hours a day with AutoCAD up and running as well as a lot of other work supporting software and then to unwind I spend time on the computer. Onc
it will be great if I can 'minimize' the fence to an icon which has the option to open by mouseover or click.
Sounds just like Windows 2, 3 & Workgroups (Progman.exe)
Sounds like a good idea - except. Where the banks are located it may not be a crime.
True, but shut down their ability to do business with financial institutions that are in Countries where it is criminal (Pirated Software and Spambot network owners) and the banks will need a REALLY good reason to stick with that sort of customer.
For the Object Desktop subscription it's valid for one year from the purchase date. For stand alone Windowblinds it's not a one year subscription but rather a major version purchase like most software. If you purchased Windowblinds 6 then Windowblinds 7 would be an "upgrade". If you purchased 7 then it should work and you'll need to contact Note that they're closed until Tuesday for Memorial Day.
Please activate it from SDC
A little off topic but I find that to be an interesting comment.....maybe Stardock Central will be making a come back.
Nice of you to do this Harley
