I agree the normal is way too easy. let normal become the new "easy" then make the new "normal" somewhere between normal and hard. I haven't try it on easy yet start to wonder how much easier could it get than normal.

If you made all the AI the same specs then there wouldn't be that much difference between normal and hard. Since your team AI starts at a disadvantage is it very important to upgrade your citadel before you do major upgrades to your Demigod. This seems to be the opposite strategy you would uses against good players online.
Why was this thread started? If it was to bash frogboy then that in itself seem to be very foolish. If it was to learn "how could I have responded better?" then this thread has some purpose. Learn the power of words and how to use them wisely.
If you have a game where you have 3 players beat 1 player and 2 AI then if only human players are counted, it would be 3 wins and 1 loss.
I assume it has something to do with Human vs AI. Only the human players are counted as wins or losses.
I wonder how well do you handle criticism especially something you put a lot hard work into? I do agree frogboy could have handle this better but who does handle criticism in the best manner 100% of the time?

There is a time and place for nudity , I don't wants to see my wife nude all the time. To me putting a half nude woman on a video game is a little insulting to gamers as to apply this excite us which in turn sales more games. (maybe it excited a boy who never seen boobs.) It's natural for a man to have balls but I would not want to get see in a game King of thorn balls hanging down going around beat everyone in the head with his large .... wel
I'm glad to read some here answered the OP question without trying to attack his/hers convictions. As other noted the Queen of Thorns herself is the smallest unit in the game as it's her plant-moblie you notice zoomed-out especially when there are so many units packed in a small area.
At least I'm not the only one who had this very annoying problem. Hopefully it will be fix soon.
I believe it has been mention here (or maybe it was in another website) before that it has something to do with Stardock will not undercut the retailers or they won't sale the game. So basicly they agree, as with almost every company, to sell a product at full price so a retailer can if they choose to put it on sale to quickly sell out their stock. As some noted here they will buy the game from a retailer at
I am calling complete and utter bollox on this. Video game stores (EB , Game, et al), Supermarkets which have sold video games (Tesco, ASDA, Sainsburys, etc) AND general entertainment department stores (Virgin, HMV, etc) have NOT accepted games for a full refund since the days of floppy disks. They will exchange like for like (aka same game, same format) until
Irony: I was playing a pirated version of Sins for a while (1.02 was the patch when I got it), and just bought the legitimate version via Impulse. Funny you should mention this right now.
Piracy for Sins has already done it's damage as except for a few hardcore fans most gamers have moved on to something else. I've noticed the patch for Colonization seem to have removed the DRM where
You can also check out what happen with PSP vs DS where PSP was a lot easier to pirate games than DS yet when it comes to games vs the number of units DS total killed PSP sales. More and more games went to DS because it was tougher to pirate. I had someone over my house who played games and decided they liked them so much they go out and buy them..... no really.... they decided to break into my house and steal my PS3 and all my games. (even though i ca
Err while many people equate piracy to stealing, you're actually pointing out straight up theft from stores here. Piracy in general equates to somone making an illegal copy of a game. Someone stealing something off the shelf isn't quite in the same category imo. I don't approve of it any more than the other kind of thievery, but you're talking about shoplifting and piracy. Removing actual games fr
Anyone who thinks that priracy drives up sales are really kidding themselves. It wasn't long ago that stores like EB had the games in the boxes on the shelf. They would let you return a game for any reason including PC games for a full refund. I did exactly that with MMO3 which a month later they change that policy. The reason they had to change was people were badly abusing their return policy. Today store either have to take the games out of the box or put the games behind lock
The reason why people pirate games is the same reason people tell lies. Being honest can cost you especially in the pocket book. Most people are honest when there is no cost. Piracy has nothing to do with Impulse or Steam as noted by others pirate game also requires some kind of software. As far as both Steam and Impulse I like the fact I can load up the game on my 2 desktop and 1 laptop without the disc. (I can run Steam "offline" to play Empires)
The problem with any strategy game AI is the lack of ability to adapt as well as long-term planning, something that natural for any player. The only real way around this is to give AI bonuses so the player has to continue to fine tune his strategy. P.S also notice games like Sins where you have different AI scripts yet maybe one is a little stronger than another without bonuses. Thus a so called "harder AI" may not be that much harder after a player lear
While the game is good I wished CA and Stardock would get together. While the AI has some improvements over the other TW series it still need some serious work. For example it seems you can pretty leave England totally defenseless without worrying about an attack from the AI.
To be honest the only reason I bought this game was because of Stardock name. It's not really my type of game yet I will still play it some if it has a descent AI. With a descent AI it will still be worth the cash as a single player game alone (especially compared to FPS). I lost count how many strategy games I played though the years where the AI was pretty much nonexistance. Years ago I bought any game that has Micro Prose name on it even if the game doesn't seem interesting at
asterix = race's special unique tech.
One of the biggest advantege of Impulse is I don't have to worry about losing my disc. Recently I had my home broken into and had 12 PS3 games (as well as the PS3) stolen. This isn't a problem with Impulse.
Using DRM to block second hand sales is greed, plain and simple.
I have to remind you again that's a two edge sword which cuts both ways. DRM is to hinder (not stop) greedy and dishonest gamers. It was not long ago when I could take back a PC game to EB for a full refund if i didn't like it. (MOO3 was the last game I returned right before they stop) Abuse made EB (now owned by Gamestop) to stop this
How are they going the extra mile? They provide patches for their games just like the rest of the industry does, except they won't give them to people who own a used copy.
As any PC gamer knows not all patches are the same. Some games needs a patches just to make the game playable. Sins is playable right out of the box. Also as someone else pointed out it's the person who bought the game new who c
Yes. I just did myself.
