Gosh. Wish I could help. I'm blessed in that I make my living on the PC, albeit in a 3d world (Second Life). I definitely know the old PC feeling, though the one I use now is, admittedly, a bit of a gaming monster, but it took some wrestling to get it. Sucks that systems are designed thus: So when one gets outdated, you can't just replace, that, oh no. Got to replace this, then that, to support the new item. But wait! That's an old motherboard; won't handle it, best get a new

Yea. I have most apps excluded from WB. Winamp, Firefox, et al. Just too many weird glitches that are likely, in the end, the result of something I didn't do, or did, or wasn't supposed to do, or was supposed to but didn't. In the end, I just disable most apps from being skinned. Easier, for me, than wondering why some button is missing or glitching-out or why I can't even close the browser (weird!) unless Firefox excludes WB, and so forth. Long list. he

Well. we "need" Java like we need Flash. While I suspect Flash is more commonplace, ubiquitous, both are just different technologies that enable content delivery and display. Neither are *necessary*, as such, but that depends if you want Flash content - or not. lol
So you take it upon yourself to protect a multi-million dollar company? Interesting.
I'd hope people would take it upon themselves to protect anyone's IP rights, trademarks (and other) of anyone else, because it's the right thing to do , not because we're privy to their net-worth documents. ♥

For me, any site feature listed anywhere (on any website) creates a reasonable expectation of it working and functioning as indicated. Should something stop working as indicated, then it ought to be remedied, not because of a thousand reasonable reasons, but because if I advertise a green house with a yellow door for sale, it better be a green house with a yellow door. (Ew @ the colors. hehe)

Ha. Solved it myself, sort of. Poked around Windowblinds settings > Added Winamp.exe to the ignore that app list. Works fine, now. But I wonder, still, what cause/d that?

Something I've encountered - and wonder who else might have as well - when using Windowbliinds, is something to do with Winamp. I use Hotkeys in Winamp (like most things), for things like Jump-to a different track, volume up and down, fast-forward and so forth. CTRL+ALT+J (jump) is the hotkey for Winamp's jump-to-song dialogue box. Works no matter what window/app is active. You simply type in the song/artist you seek and results display below.

lol I'm such a noob. I saw that text, as well, RedneckDude, but I figured it was some inside joke or code-speak native to WinCustomize.com and it's users that I wasn't aware of. Like saying

for the html junkies. *smacks forehead*

Since whoever makes the first chunk would, ultimately, decide the Windowblind style, it'd be a good idea, I reckon, to sort of decide, first, what theme, or style you'd like to make it in -- as a community. This way the second person knows what to expect. Make sense? hehe Cute idea. ♥

Thanks for the many, many, many suggestions. Sweet. I love it. Been out of the loop so long, it's nice to have a catch-up thread like this. And yes, I should have specified WindowBlinds (skins) in the title; My bad. I guess I assumed the post, itself, would clarify. Apologies. And 1000 thanks, again. :O

This is resolved, anyhow. Not much to say. Just "wow". If I shake my head any more vigorously, I'm likely to shake it loose from my shoulders, then onto the floor, at which point I'll kick it into the kitchen, out the door, and down the hill, ultimately into the ocean where it'll be fish food that will likely be harvested, then served to droves of meandering minions from the cruise ships for, truly, "brain food".

Of course I'm still here. :) If anyone wants the tags, provided those who submitted them are ok with the distribution of them, let me know. I'll be more than happy to pass them on. As for the wall: Some of you have got to know me. I take forever to make these things. Look at my wall submissions. Oft times a wall taking weeks. The Breakthrough wallpaper alone was a 2-3 month project, off and on. Almost deleted 2000 times and the like. ;) I'm trying my best to blend thes

I'm here. Moved, recently. I've been on and off the site, occasionally, albeit not always able to post a response. Anyhow. I am back, and I've just been waiting; had a slow trickle of 'sigs' as of late. Thanks for them. I guess I'll make this some kind of cut-off for sending me new ones. Please check the date and time of this post: I'll start finishing it up and post it sometime after 24 hours from now (Tuesday, July 15). Thanks for the contributio
