The friends' window could have a list of the last "n" players you played with, together with an indication of their respective latency (an all-important component for this k

I'm glad you mentioned that because I was kind of wondering the same thing before. Then I used Impulse's blog feature in order to write about my experiences with Demigod . There's a pane on the right side for you to select which forum you want to place your blog/thread. There was only two approximate options: Demigod journals (on which I was unable to post there) and Stardock games. Nothing else w

PM me if you want a coupon. EDIT: Congrats to Aeolus_Storm for a brand new coupon. [e digicons][/e]
The people at Reclaim Your Game have done a great favor for those of us that don't want SecuROM to still remain in our systems after uninstalling a game with that intrusive DRM: "Securom Removal just got easier with the introduction of the Reclaim Your Game <a href="http://reclaimyourgame.com/index.php?option=com_content&vie
Here's a gesture of appreciation for all of Stardock's hard work and communication with its customers and fans. In my view, a bad situation with Demigod morphed into very good PR. Thank you for your effort and dedication. [e digicons][/e] The building's a bit dark, but you can blame the photographer for taking the shot while the facing the sun.
This news made my day! [e digicons][/e] Dragon Age has everything to be an EXCELLENT game. Evil Chris posted about this on Twitter, via the (hilarious and constantly updated) Biofeed :
I just announced the Dragon Age: Origins copy protection. http://tinyurl.com/cr9sel - Evil Chris BioWare about 17h ago via Splitweet
I wou
But, since Demigod doesn't use GOO, it does not apply there.
I was under the impression that a publisher would be able to choose which part of GOO it would want active. Just the DRM, the second-hand marketplace, across-platform compatibility or any of those combinations. That way, Stardock would still retain a no DRM policy with the boxed versions of a self-published game, but still have the other GOO capabilities ov
Will always prefer to "Download and Archive" first, and then install, since that allows compatibility between my desktop with XP and my laptop with Vista. :)
. I'm sure Frogboy will have some time *cough* to respond to their questions about GOO. After reading the thread on Prism, they may think that Elemental uses GOO because Brad told that Elemental will implement a functionnality available with GOO, the ability to have used license. This is point #2 in that thread http://forums.demigodthegame.com/344320 and could be read as using GOO in Elemental to achieve that. I

They're volunteers working for a common cause with limited resources and a thousand things to do. They screwed up, but so did you and I at one point. I believe they are now better informed and more capable to make their own decisions in this matter. I'm sure Frog
Reclaim Your Game has been doing an overall good job so far. Everyone is able to make mistakes now and then. I think that most users in this thread are replying with valid points, but I'm not too fond of the more exacerbated approach that some choose to use... Anyway, I gave myself the trouble to *finally* create an account in RYG's forum and started a thread about the subject in question there: http://www.the-prism.com/index.php?topic=2261.msg25726#msg25726 Feel
Assumptions are a bitch... I'm saying this to all parties involved. I actually appreciate what both Reclaim Your Game and Stardock have been doing. The question pertains Demigod and DRM. So, for some reason the questions didn't get to Brad. It happens. RYG thus places their comments, but Brad does not agree to them. No problem. It's ALWAYS a good time for communication and dialogue, right? Since the main protagonists are already engaged in this thread, how about if Frogboy just answer
As for the IT and networking bit... Let's see this as a good learning experience, never to be repeated, that will only strengthen the company in the future. (networking ppl help each other) [e digicons]:-"[/e]
You should be able to find the patch notes in "View History" (when you right-click on the game icon in Impulse). At the moment there's a thank you note and troubleshooting instructions... Someone mixed the Readme.txt file to where the patch notes should be... There's a lot of attention to Demigod already. Frogboy had been writing daily status reports. Someone should take that as a cue to add the patch notes to where they belong. Err... of course if t
Just pre-ordered! [e digicons][/e] ... So, when's the beta testing? Hmm? When? Hello? Are we there yet? Hey? I'm waiting here... Don't mean to rush the developing team *cough*... WHEN?!?!
Yay! A comic relief is always welcome...
Wow! Birds chirping, ducks quacking, the wind blowing, turtles, killer bees ready to strike on Brad's command. Nature all over! Awesome! [e digicons]|-)[/e] I hope there's an effort in getting paper and other reusable materials for recycling...
I’ve read comments that some people do like these status reports.
[e digicons]o_O[/e] ATTENTION EVERYONE... raise your hand if you recall seeing this kind of communication from a publisher before... anyone...? ...
Thanks guys. If you guys want, we can keep doing these updates even after connectivity and things get addressed. So we could show meetings where we discuss new demigods or how to implement new match making techniques or us and GPG discussing new items and player suggestions.
It didn't had to be necessarily about Demigod. Excellent status reports such as these could be for emergencies. Good communication is A THOUSAND TIMES BETTER than the standard
Just tried multiplayer for the first time. Tournament, as Oak, light side. Here's my reaction: W00t!!! That's one heck of a game you have there. And my team actually won! Now, apart from fully-fledged MMO's, I usually don't like multiplayer. I steered clear from DOTA and most DMs, TDMs, CTFs and whatnot. But here I was, learning how to play, on-the-fly, and actually being able to understand what to do... and having fun... and winning the match?!?!
Wow. This level of communication is really great. This should be kept as a great reference from when Stardock, the corporate giant, will have the need of a community coordinator. Hopefully we'll still have frogboy checking out the forums from the laptop at his beach house. ;) [e digicons]5*[/e]
Hmm... I'm in China. I still have to try the multiplayer (given enough time available). Let's see if I'll go "W00t!" or !@#$%^&*!!! :P Awesome job with the reports! [e digicons][/e]
