I think if Halliburton made military armor, the troops would have plenty. Maybe that's what they're waiting for. Do away with the one contractor who makes it, though obviously not enough, and give the contract to Halliburton. They do such a better job. NOT. I'll post a more appropriate comment later. I've got to get ready for work.

Thanks, Molly. Your comments were exactly what I intended when I posted this. My sister sent it to me today. I didn't write it. Regardless, it sure got a chuckle from me. Anyway, the point is that if you're going to throw the bible around as your excuse/reason to prohibit same sex marriage, then don't cherry pick for your arguments. If you think the bible is the end all, be all document, then use it in total. Of course, having said that,

Note it is not until you get to the 7th definition do you get one that fits your myopic view. Actually, I was playing with words. But, given what conservative may mean in today's world, such as a fiscal conservative, or an environmental conservative, or hell, even a conservative conservative, I still

Sharpen your Biblical skills... Defend marriage just as God has ordered As certain politicians work diligently to prevent marriage between two people of the same sex, others of us have been busy drafting a Constitutional Amendment codifying all marriages entirely on biblical principles. After all, God wouldn't want us to pick and choo

I guess it goes without say, war is hell and should only be undertaken as an absolute last resort. This freakin war wasn't. It was a pipe dream (hehehe ..... pipe, as in oil) of a few lunatic world leaders, in this case Americans, who duped the country into thinking we needed this. It was not a last resort. It was a folly. Now, as you so poignantly pointed out, we are seeing the consequences of their folly. Most of the Iraqis being killed, by the

That's a fallacy. Until we catch a terrorist in the act, and prove that they were performing a terrorist act, the fact that we've not been attacked since 9/11 has nothing to do with our security. I could use that reasoning and say since techinally there's been no foreign terrorist attack on our soil before 9/11/2001 since our inc

I absolutely hate Ditech commercials. They outta be banned too. Seriously, I find it offensive that the government would buy into the PTC arguments, and ban something, or that what we have now for media ownership is a few stinkin' rich people who get to decide what we watch, and pander to those morally deficient individuals who cannot tell the difference between art and smut.

I've also read that most enlistees are not signing up for the National Guard anymore, the way they used to. All these kids were trying to do the right thing. Their government sold em out to win a war we never should have started, and one that cannot be won. It's so sad. I just feel that, as a nation, this administration screwed all of us by causing so many deaths, and making us much less safe than we were before. Remember, we were attacked on t

I have used the term "short-sighted" numerous times in my observations of our illustrious republican and conservative administration. One of the most short-sighted and selfish agendas pushed through by them is their whacking away at the environment in general, using political pundits to edit scientific reports to further their agendas, and selling out our environment

What a clown. Did you not reconize the quote? It's from literature and way before our time. What literature? When? As for the relevance of it, I'd say it's a completely outdated mindset. We don't just go in and crush other countries just to show we can "control" them. That's lunacy. Kind of

Does removing the filibuster create a tyrannical government? Isn't that a very alarmist extreme theory? Yes, Helix, it is extremist. But, we live in extremist times. I tried to point out that this wouldn't necessarily create a tyranny, but it can enable one to occur. Big difference. The fact that it

Thanks for posting this. I was totally unaware of the issue, because I never shop at walmart, for so many other reasons, a big one being their refusal to unionize. But that's another issue. As for antisemetism, I agree that getting wallmart to admit to anything would be miraculous. Be glad that it's no longer sold there. And, DON'T SHOP THERE . They're greedy pigs, using the capitalist ideology to justify their self-serving

I say "disgusting" because, as others pointed out here, this is a tactic that is intended to force compromise, and gives the minority party at least some modicum of a voice in Congress. Think about the alternative - no filibuster. We would have a government that is very close, if not an actual tyranny. I dunno about you guys, but trashing the Constitution to not necessarily create, but enable a tyranny scares the bejesus outta me.

I received this in my email this morning, and I hope that you take the time to read this rather long article. It is important., and I'd love to get back some comments. (Trollers need not respond). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You are already aware that recently I served as the head of one of the top uniformed Federal law
