The other option is to add a new ship class to the game... Spy satellites! These could be put into orbit around a planet to give you details on it. The idea could be panned out from there to give you a counter to these etc.. maybe a planet based laser or something.

I too would like to see a split from spying and sabotage and make the two of them completely different. An option in the setup to turn active sabotage off would be a nice addition too. What i would hope to see in a future release is the ability to dedicate 'X' credits on a slider (say in the F5 window under each race) to general race spying as it was in the old version. Not that i can help you with your uninstall issue, but on a slight tangent i found the easiest way to use the package was to open it using a zip program and extract the various pieces i required. Had to do this as the package has never been updated and does not work with windowblinds etc. as it shows as a old version. Once extracted i could load in all the parts separately and have had no issues since. D

BIG MTG try Irfanview as it does the job fine. If you want to play around with the race icons then i would suggest Paint.net as it is free and will do most things paid-for programs will.
