I own start10. Not sure if upgrading to Start11 is worth it, so I wanted to ive it a try first. Is there no 30-day-trial available?

Any updates on this? :(
Is there any way to achieve this? I created a theme that looks pretty neat, but the light title bar frame doesn't fit in dark mode. Since there is no way to set different frames for light/dark mode (I made a thread about it here: https://forums.stardock.com/505710/page/1/#3810734 ) I wonder if there is any way to automatically switch themes when the windows dark mode comes on, maybe through a batch script of some sor
Currently it seems you can only add ONE titlebar frame for Dark and Light mode. It would be nice if you could pick separate images for both dark and light mode, like Curtains allows for some other aspects (like Taskbar buttons). Please consider adding this feature [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e] [e digicons]:)[/e]
Hi, I have a suggestion. I love Start10 but what I dislike about it, is the dated UI in some aspects, mainly the jumplists and the scrollbar. Win10 is very inconsitent as it is, so maybe the devs will consider it. In the regular Windows 10 Start menu, the scrollbar is very tiny and will only extend when you hover over it, which looks pretty nice, whereas in Start10 it is always visible: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/70/80/7080330/88bbcdaa-ba87-40e7-9
Hi, how can I get rid of these lines (or at least one of them) in the start menu? I'm aware you can set it to a blank image via Curtains but that would also remove the line on the right side between the personal folders and settings etc.
You can also change the size of the entire start menu via the style-tab. It will also increase the icon size :)
I've said this months ago. I feel like Stardock is missing out on a lot of sales for this powerful software simply because users do not understand how to use it. I figured it out eventually (but even then help of support here was needed), not everyone has the patience for that.
Hi, I'm not affiliated with Stardock but I think your installation is either bugged or you have other themes installed which interfere with Curtains? Because the acrylic effect doesn't go up that far normally. Here's how mine looks:
Hi, I just fixed it for now (see edit of my above post). It didnt work last time however, so there might still be a bug somewhere - either that or my Win10 is messed up. Dont want to do a full reinstall just for my taskbar though hehe :)
It is definitely related to the stardock software (Start10 and/or Curtains), as the problem will go away when I uninstall one of them. For reference, see my first post in this thread (I've also posted the blur). And from the video it looks like you as well have the wrong blur? This is not the acrylic blur that is windows's standard. You can see how it looks different in the preview window of Start10 (where it shows the acryl blur) but your actual taskbar has the normal blur. I
Quick update on this: After a week I reinstalled Start10 and the acrylic blur was back. It worked for about another week until yesterday suddenly the blur changed again - I did not install any new software nor did I change my theme at all - so I think there's really a bug in the software somewhere there. :(
Thanks! I've tried editing it and it somewhat works, although I can't make the rounded corner work. How does the "Groupy.TabLeft"-variable work? I don't see any effect whatsoever, no matter the image i pick...
Why are you confused? It is not something that is possible with curtains, as Neil already has stated. Apparently there are no plans at this moment for this either.
Interesting, thanks. How do I add the groupy sections to curtains? I havent found this feature...
As far as I am aware, this only works with the custom Start10-Menus though - not the "original" Win10-Experience? This is what I am looking for - changing the background of the regular Win10-Start Menu.
Curtains allows for changing the background if you are using the Start10-Startmenu. But for the standard start menu which I am using, this is not possible. Any chance that this feature can be added to Curtains?
Hi, I followed this advice, no luck. i didn't install any software and can't pinpoint the exact moment it stopped working. However I did notice that in the curtains in settings the "apply style to taskbar" was unchecked, maybe I accidentally clicked on that before. Anyway I enabled this and now I can apply curtains-styles on the taskbar again - as long as Start10 isn't installed, because the problem persists. Since I switched back to the original start menu a few weeks ago any
Hello, I've tried your suggestion and completely purged the software. Unfortunately the problem persists. Once I install both, the blur changes. THis is very weird.
Hi, I havent tampered with these settings and so they are exactly like shown in your screen. :( My taskbar in general seems to have been broken by Curtains/Start10 - i cant even apply a theme through curtains on it anymore. It shows in the preview, but cant be applied. It did work a few days ago tho...
Hi, yes I have both installed (Start10 1.96; Curtains 1.17). Windows10 20H2 19042.870 And I already tried uninstalling both, then I reinstalled curtains and it still worked. After installing Start10 however, the blur changed. So I figured Start10 was the problem. But here's the funny part, I just tried uninstalling them both and reinstalling in the reversed order (Start10 first, then curtains) - and surprise, as long as only Start10 was installed, it worked again. Once
When I install Start10, it changes the blur from acrylic to "normal": Why is this? How can I fix it?
Okay, I made 1px on the left and right transparent, now that is fixed at least. But as for height: Remade it into 300px (every section 50px), still the same problem. What is the size supposed to be?!
Hi, it's at 125%. Resolution is 2560x1440. I tried setting it to 100% after I read your reply, but the problem persists. But 100 % would be too smal for me anyway [e digicons]:([/e]
Thanks, that worked! Much better - I'd appreciate if that was a toggle switch in the regular style settings though instead of having to manually add it to the advanced settings. Please consider.
