Or root around for some of the several book-fishing threads around here. I got a lot of interesting replies a few years ago when I fished for space operas .
Banned because Freud was right...
Banned because you gotta be more specific there. Freud wrote a lot of shit, including shit about shit. But I've never heard of anything about giant divine worms being worshiped by mystical high priestess types. Jung, maybe, but Freud... ?

That's my favorite sort of victory. I've done it going for the tech win, the influence win, and I think I pulled it off at least once while going for an alliance win. That last is tricky on account of AIs sometimes having suicidal tendencies and attacking my fleets just because they stupidly declared war on one of my allies.

Banned because I can't believe you typed that. First, you're conflating general regard for a parent with concern about parental approval of a specific task. Even more first, you appear to be bitch-slapping momma's boys in general, and that's just wrong.

Banned because the Cavils were my favorite model of skinjob too, and have nothing to do with my using Cylons as an excuse to poke at the tomcat's bizarre mix of autocratic tendencies and demi-paranoia about modern militaries funded by semi-democratic nations like the U.S.

I don't want to think about how my tax dollars have sometimes helped to kill innocent civilians and devastate local economies around the world, but those things have been happening since World War II. At least the cats can plead nons
Banned because that sounds rather obscene.
Banned because tomcatting around is almost all about posturing and fighting, not about actual coitus. And coitus for cats is nowhere near fun enough to be called "obscene" by prudish humans. Freaking barbed phalli those boys have, 'necessary' to stimulate ovulation in the females. "Horrifying" is a much better adjective. I know new kitties have to com

Banned because there's no time to contemplate pumpkin symbolism. If the squirrels are training with light sabers, shit is gonna get really, really bad here in Hogtown. The university campus here breeds the most brazen squirrels imaginable--the little rotters will sidle right up to you on a bench and steal food if you don't pay them off with food. They're really fat, though, so maybe they won't get all that good with the light sabers.

Banned because if I'd been caught by the publish-or-perish machine, I'd be a political sociologist specializing in this 'professional' thing. Not so long ago, the word was all about publicly proclaiming a faith. Now it's about publicly clawing for status in dreary hierarchies. The difference is fascinating.

To some folks, cilantro is a wonderful addition many dishes, but to others it's just something that looks pretty much like parsley bu
