All ya need to do is uncheck "On resume, display Welcome screen" That's on XP anyways...

Well, you''re right about it crashing with any number of programs, it''s not partial to Winamp. So, I tried what you said, but I can''t load the event viewer, tells me that the event log is corrupt. (That feature was already checked, so I just loaded the Event viewer...) [Message Edited]
Gary, tried what you said, everything went smooth. When I booted into safe mode, NFR didn't find anything, so I installed the display drivers, boot back into Win2k, it was fine. I tried to load Winamp, and blackness. So, it reboots, I go back to Win2k...this time, it crashes before the login dialog even shows. Tried twice more...same thing. So, now I booted back into XP, and everything is ok...I can use my browser, thats all I need really. Are you sure it's not a bad HD? I had a feeling t
Gold and Silver is a toss-up between D-Reliction and Enkera. Being that this is the most creative event, I gotta give the edge to Enkera, but D-Reliction is still my favorite of the competition. Bronze goes to Resurgence or red-firewall. :)
I'm about to crash Gary, I'll try it tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the help though, if I can repay the favors somehow, just say the word.
Ok, but you have to answer something for me... How the heck do you know all this? I'm know my way around a PC, but damn...you're like the Britannica's Encyclopedia...it's almost scary.
Should I do that on Win2k or WinXP? The reboots happen on both...
I have absolutely no clue...but the driver is dated 10/6/2003, if that helps...
nv4_disp ver. 6.14.10.5216
nvidia geforce mx 440
I don't even see that much, my screen just goes black...sometimes it reboots automatically, sometimes I gotta hit the reset button.
No, I hope not China, this has been happening for a while now...but I''ve been able to deal with it for the past few weeks, only recently it''s been happening constantly. What else could it be Gary? [Message Edited]
Actually, it's my hard drive (I hope), my computer is constantly crashing and rebooting, it does it on XP, now it's doin' on Win2k. I figured the install just got messed up, and a new HD will fix it... BTW, Gary...Etch-A-Sketch isn't free. http://www.world-of-toys.com/cgi-bin/catalog.pl?stage=1&cat=3&item=505 <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/lol.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd
Thanks China, I'm actually using the trial now...but I was hoping for a thrifty alternative...I should have new XP in 3 weeks or so...so I hope the trial lasts that long...any others?
...by pointing him in the direction of a taskbar replacement for Windows 2000. See, his XP broke, now he's on Win2k [again]...and can't stand the plain-jane taskbar. Anyone have any suggestions besides ObjectBar and Litestep?
THUNDER! THUNDER! THUNDER! THUNDERCATS....HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I wish they brought the Thundercats back...they were the best! SHNNNARRRFFF!

Chas, that would be impossible, the data collected does not identify the user, just the skin.
I''d like the option to be able to change author comments after you upload a skin, without going through moderation. Obviously, if you upload a skin, it should go back through moderation, but if you just want to change the description, like a spelling error or the like, you should be able to do it instantly. I live in North Jersey, a 10-minute walk, and I have a unobstructed view of the NYC skyline and hudson river. I saw the Queen Mary 2 sail away while it was docked in the harbor, was pretty cool. The one good thing about living in a smelly part of NJ, the broadband. My ISP right now is giving me 9.5mbps down/1mbps up for $44.95 a month. I'll be getting that same service where I'm movin too! I ju
Antares for Gold Sektor for Silver FM, Quasar or Niobium for Bronze :)
Those requirements can't be right, 1TB hard drive? Although, MS did say they would be building it based on hardware available in 2000-n-whatever [naturally], so a system like that could be the standard by then. It's hard to buy a new PC now that's less than 2GHZ.
