I think we're talking two different browsers here ...I mean the SDC browser that you use to download the software. I really hope I'm correct in saying that there's somewhere in there that you enter your subscription serial # ...because I'm sure thats where I did it. Hmmm...I don't use the WC browser, so it had to be in there.
Did you receive the email link that has the serial # to enter into SDC? I'm not at home right now, but I'm almost certain I had to enter a serial # for the re-subscription.
As stated above, there are NO sounds in the cursorXP free version, no matter what cursor you are using. The sounds are coming from neOS the WindowBlind ... steps were shown [above] on how to disable those.

Start out with something small & easy ...perhaps OD+ or a similar small app that will be easy enough for you to come to grips with. If it's WindowBlinds you wish to learn to skin, you'll need SkinStudio. I'd suggest you purchase the full ObjectDesktop suite of apps [presuming you don't already have it] ...as this will give you access to most of the programs you'll want to use to customize your own computer, but SkinStudio also comes bundled with ObjectDesktop. On occasion, some software will conflict with other software, and there won't be much you can do about it... it happens with OD+ and a couple of apps I run. [not the same issue as you though] As you probably already know, you can save the way you've set up your docks in OD+ ...so, if you're going to run a game that you know conflicts with OD+ just make sure you've saved your theme, and close out of OD+ until you stop playing.
