Player A is trying to connect to player B, but cannot because... Player B is trying to connect to player C. Establishing connection... Processing... Player D is trying to connect to player A, but cannot because player A is trying to connect to player B.
That doesn't even make sense from a networking perspective. These aren't single-threaded processes.

This OP is a perfect example of what happens when you let the community run amok. It turns into /b/ (NSFW, i.e. not for the easily offended) . This stuff belongs in off-topic.
Never had that problem. Instead of making everyone wait 30-60seconds before joining the lobby, you do the waiting in parallel with waiting for people to join the game. Pipelining makes things faster. Need to see who's not connected? Open up connection info.
You mean there are 3 non-full, unstarted custom games online. The list doesn't show full games. http://www.demigodthegame.com/opengames.aspx (and I've been told this isn't the full list either, just 1 of 8 NAT facilitators or something) I see 5 open (including full) 0113 games there. It is also 2:30AM right now on the west coast, 5:30AM on the east coast.
Let the banhammer fly. Example of a well-moderated community: Penny Arcade. There people can get into heated discussions on whatever but thanks to some no-nonsense moderators, the community remains mature. If you don't, you will get the endless ascii art face palms and thread hijacks of the WoW forums. The key is, you have to nip it in the bud or else the entire demigod forums will turn into this: http
Um, there are plenty of custom games after midnight. Play that.
There's really only one solution to having a respectful community. Strict moderators who weed those people out. Fortunately or unfortunately, that will also make the community smaller. And you also lose the people who're rah rah free speech (never mind the fact that even in the US, free speech isn't absolute) Also, the formula someone gave about normal person + anonymity = troll isn't really correct. It's normal person + anonymity + an audience = troll.
Oh yeah? I played FOUR since it was released. :D
Adding another one to the list... 4. Players to quit from 4 vs 4 matches just because one person from their team dropped.
This. Had a 4v4 game last night where the other Regulus on my team got dropped near the beginning. We beat them handily and they even wondered if it was really AI. :D
Looks likes as long as there are no 0 pings in the game, it'll pretty much work.
Had a guy on IRC who couldn't connect at all after upgrading to beta patch. He was using Monk's guide. Then he changed his ports to something else on ImpulseReactorOptions and voila, he could connect, so if anyone has issues with the patch, you could try that.
Oh no, an ultimatum! Then buh bye! You realize it's the weekend right? Also, anyone who's actually in software knows that hiring additional people won't magically make the projects go faster.
Quoting Eadwyn, reply 25 Rook with poisoned daggers and poisoned arrows says hi. Um, UB with boots of speed, swift anklet, inner beast and diseased claws says hi back I dont know what the game is about, but a Sedna with 5 All-Fathers Ring says hello to both of you
Giants said hello to your citadel about 2 hours ago.
Poisoned Daggers > Swift Anklets. Poisoned arrows cancels Inner Beast. Remember, the Rook doesn't need to be faster than you. He just needs you to be slow enough to be Boulder Smashed. :D
Rook with poisoned daggers and poisoned arrows says hi.
You realize a lot of games in the past partnered with 3rd parties for their multiplayer right? Think Gamespy.
not to be a downer but I don't like the fact that you are sidestepping inproper testing by pointing at MS for their shortcommings in the OS. The reality is that the functionality doesn't exist in the OS and that it never has. Knowing that, proper testing of MP would have saved you all the lost good will.
If this functionality existed in the OS, a lot of singleplayer games probably wouldn't be singleplayer. My understanding is
15s cooldown with a 2s cast. i.e. a minimum of 17s per shot. If you are able to shoot someone as soon as the cooldown's up, every shot. Max rank, close range, fire as soon as cooldown is up = 700/17s = 41dps. For every 41 hp/s regen they will nullify one regulus.
Not only is AVG a resource hog, it is also prone to false positives.
LOUD NOISES!!!

From the US standpoint, I find it hilarious that Republicans complain about taxes/biggovernment/Democrats/Obama/peopletheydon'tlike as being socialist when.... it's the Red (Republican) states that are the most socialist under that definition. http://j.photos.cx/redstatesocialism-c31.jpg
Armored Sedna. Level 1 heals for more than Level 1 spit. Level 3 Heals remove spit. Armor neuters his autoattacks. That gets rid of his two most powerful abilities. Meanwhile you pounce every few seconds for 1000 damage and your minion priests keep you healthy.
Yeah, given the number of interrupts, latency does matter somewhat.
Why didn't you get catapaults and giants and end it yourself beforehand?
