Back on topic... I think an Avatar thing would be cool...DeviantArt style...maybe just a 50x50 one that's next to yer name (optional, of course). That could set up an info bar with email, instant messaging buttons, and other similiar shiz. Sometimes errors with objects can make this happen. Does the tray icon come up at all? You could try to switch themes through that or go to the object list and get it out that way...

Frogboy's Longhorn bar (for Desktop X) comes with a little button in the top right hand corner that minimizes the whole shabang for you. Here's the deal. I'll start from the very beginning. 1) Configure your desktop until it's nice and purdy. Once it's done, hit PrtScrn on your keyboard. This puts the screenshot into your clipboard. 2) If you don't have Photoshop or anything, don't worry. Open up MS Paint, and hit Paste.
