Dan, you bring out an excellent point. We are all guilty of the torment He suffered due to the fact that we all have sinned and thats the reason He died because without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. The most important thing of all to remember though is the fact that He is no longer dead. GCJ

One thing I do not understand is why there is all the buzz about "The Passion of the Christ " movie being such a portrayal of violence. Are folks just now becoming aware of what a crucifixion is all about? Some people are acting as though they are quite shocked about the fact that film maker Mel Gibs

There has always been some group or another used by other groups throughout history to lay the blame of their failures upon. Wheather it be blacks, Jews, gays, or what have you. People are always looking for somewhere to lay blame. No, I do not hold the Jews accountable for the death of Jesus. Jesus Himself said, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." Why anyone as a Christian not forgive and expect there to then be forgivness for his/her own sins? It was the fu

Yes Nicole, matter of fact God does know just excatly who will accept Him and who will reject Him. The bible says that the names of the ones who would accept Him were written in the Lamb's book of Life from the foundation of the world. So yeah He knows who the faithful are and what their mothers would name them. He knew it even before they were born. How could one not believe in God and the bible when everything in the bible that was pridicted, we see coming to pass. Just look at the signs

Just because it is a law does not mean that I have to smile and go on my merry way. To me it is offensive and disrespectful. Its also not against the law to burn the flag in protest but I don't approve of that either. The point is, if John Kerry wanted to make an anti-war statement, there are other ways he could have done so. The book itself makes his sentiments known. His dealings with Jane Fonda do the same. Face it, if John Kerry knew back then the position he would find himself in today

Thank you Jeff and Wahkonta... One thing I have always found so completely hard to understand is the way in which religious people rank sin. I'm not sure but this ideology may have originated from the Roman Catholic Church when it started handing out different penances for each particular sin. One thing that one should bare in mind is the fact that "sin is sin." There is no such thing as a little sin or a great sin. Its all the same. The only sin that the bible speaks of as greater than

In an afternoon speech earlier today, President George W. Bush rallied for Christian supporters by pledging his support for a constitutional amendment that would once and for all stifle the arguments over same sex marriages and ban them forever. It was quite clear that the Bush speech today was merely a rally call to all Christians to lend him their support i

I'm sure you are right jeblackstar because when I look at the upside down American flag, I become very distressed. Soldiers in Iraq say they are happy to be there. They're not writting anti war books. GCJ

Yes wisefawn, I was in high school during the Viet Nam war. I was also against the war but that is no reason to disrespect our flag that many others have shed their blood and died for. Call it what you may. I see it as plain ole disrespect. You are doing nothing more than the AFL-CIO who is supporting John Kerry after voting for NAFTA. You are supporting someone who is against everything that you stand for. If Kerry is so anti-war then why did he vote to send troops to Iraq? Only la
