I can relate. Life sucks for me monetarily right now as well... frankly, it doesn't seem like I'll make it through the month without a smudge on my credit. But I'll keep a positive attitude and hope I pull through. Glad to hear I'm not in this alone:) Dan

I've never done something that moronic. But I'm tired now and I'm going to sleep... as soon as I move the 120lb subwoofer beind my chair from the 5000 Watt 245 speaker 150 Channel srround sound system I bought yesterday.... much better than the 4999.5 Watt system, by the way, and definitely worth the extra three grand. Dan
It's easy to state an opinion like that and have it reaffirmed, but my lack of experience leads me to wonder if, under similar circumstances, most of the people condemning the practice now might not try it themselves. When your life has led you to two conclusions - 1) that a certain degree of beauty is not just helpful but essential to develop relationships and 2) that you don't have that degree of beauty - it doesn't strike me as that amazing that p
You're very welcome. Dan
I don't think any true veteran of JU could help but comment on this article. Who hasn't been in the position of finding that for the first time, their ability to comment has been restricted? There's a sudden gut feeling of guilt and worry and maybe even a little silliness... after all, it's just the internet right? Right? Man... who are we trying to convince... Good post, and I encourage you to keep writing. You sound like a great person
Sarah. Kinda like Mr. Mrytle's girl. Dan
Thanks:) And yes, they most certainly do. Take care. Dan
I'm here at least partially so I can be honest with people who can't do anything about it. Dan
I love my mommy too:) Dan
Another way to do it is to use spaces instead of tabs. Typically, when I write a long article, a separation between paragraphs serves as a better organizational tool than does an indent. While indents lend themselves to physical media, which have a limited amount of area to work with, electronic media has an infinite amount of space, and that advantage can be utilized by simply adding a blank space between paragraphs. For the record, I only
Holly- you're right, but for the sake of Muggaz's rapidly digressing comment trail... it'd be nice if this could end here. Dan
Welcome back, Mark:) JU wouldn't have been the same without you. Dan
Muggaz and I had our disagreements. In fact, I'd go so far as to say he didn't really like me that much, and the most that was ever between us was admiration. But he's been THE most influential writer on this site, with the obvious exception of Brad himself, practically since JU went public. The fact that he's gotten kicked off tells me something about the admins. If there was any voting, I'd get Karma off the board so fast it would make he
If Bush is judged by his speaking ability vs Kerry, he will always seem to fall short, because speaking simply isn't his forte. Public speaking is the arena of big-talking high-money lawyers who have to talk big to get a bigger verdict. It's no wonder that Bush is outclassed. Thankfully, Bush wasn't elected for his speaking abilities, and I think the fact that he really didn't do all that bad will just make it an easier election to win.
I used to be. Getting banned is quite a cure, although I admit that the withdrawal wasn't all that easy. Keep it cool, Dan
Great article. Dan
Saddam should have been eliminated by Iraq/Mosleum elements not Americans! It seems like every military in the world has been pushed to stagnation except ours and those who are fighting us. Who else but the US fights for causes? Dan
It's been a while since I've been in the top ten. If I were you, I'd get out... it's actually kind of a good feeling... believe it or not... Just kidding, just sour grapes;) Good article. Dan
Realistically, although I admit that it is pleasant to wallow about in this conservative support group, I think that "the real world" happens to include the liberals. I'm not a liberal myself, but I pretty strongly believe that they constitute a significant demography, and to dismiss them as foolish is fundamentally wrong. The United States is not utilitarian, and what is "best" for anybody is hardly an issue. The job of the government is, essential
A valuable idea. Ditto on chip... an "ignore" feature would be welcome. Dan
I agree with Shozan. I don't think the draft will back any time soon. Dan
Ever irony's advocate: With human decency as a basis of comparison, your frustration is righteous; but I think you knew at least to some degree what you were getting into when you made this site. I think you knew that people would never be as grateful as they should, and that people would even expect you to feel grateful that you were given the privelage of providing this wonderful creative outlet. So given that this reaction by the p
Yeah, and how about Nov.6. The chances that a disaster would happen on a day that only comes around every 365 days... oh wait... lol that's every day:-p Dan
I like my right cheek the least. No particular reason. Dan
Until I read this article, I forgot 9/11 was coming up again. I'm sorry your birthday has overshadowed, and I suggest that you change your birthday to more neutral territory. Like July 4th. Or December 25th. Dan
