sorry, what's a "Sparc Stations"?
I'm speaking from experience here, trust me!
thanks Karen, here I thought I was the only one.
Also if you can make killer graphics, then figuring out SKS should be pretty simple. Heck even I did it.
gotta disagree a little bit here; there are little tricks and hints that are only shared when someone posts a question that the more experienced skinners have an answer to and they feel like sharing, otherwise... <span style="color: #99
friends?, this ain't frigging spacebook, no, you're not my friend nor is anyone else here. We are however a community of diverse minded individuals with a common interest, skinning. I'm pretty sure we've all been frustrated with some aspect of Stardock/WC at one time or another, so join the club, move on and if you need some specific answers, ask. They may or may not get answered.
DaveBax, thanks, but all is okay. (would like to see my tag up there though)
I have a little trepidation in suggesting this but what the heck. The wiki links within SKS are essentially devoid of information, I would like to be a part in changing this but need your help. If you would provide those essential tips/hints that make it work better, I will create the wiki page for that item. thinking out loud here: I would need to know which edit page and specific item the tip/hint is related to, the SPECIFIC wording to include and any graphics that w

yes, it is frustrating at times. (it has driven me up the wall on many occasion) If you have some specific problems why not post those issues instead of a general rant about the lack of documentation.
It (learning to skin) takes time and patience. I assume that most of the better skinners are in the graphics business. I'm not and it sounds as though you're not as well. There are two tutorials listed below that might help you. http://wiki.wincustomize.com/wiki/Skin_Studio_7:_The_Tutorial http://wiki.wincustomize.com/wik
so, what if we decide to change our minds and want to use something different?
great looking avatar Cyndie, sorry can't help on the other.
very nice site, great work
I did the removals for you, GMC2
and I thank you for it, thanks.
Sorry about the inconvenience, gmc2.
none what so ever, hope all is well.
nope, no updating. but, it does provide me with some almost "new" ideas to abuse.
thanks Seth
I sent Snowman a PM to remove some blinds but no response, should I be asking someone other than?
Skinning's not going to go away, but imo functionality of my interface is the new skinning.
functionality seems to me to be that which is under the hood, skinning is the eye candy. I'm not sure how many skinners are capable of changing the way something works and as an novice skinner, it sure ain't me. and then again, would you really want a skin to change the functionality of your programs or the OS?
This might be as much as say 3 months.
and sometimes more depending on the circumstances, at least that has been my experience.
I know that it is difficult to keep up with the changes but I would like to be able to skin all of my apps (ie8, office, etc.)
well deserved, glad to see it, congrats.
