After loading autosave, I open training window, click on 'design', and then click on tutor. There is a repeatable crash. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6038367/Elemental0_804-2010-06-30T23-19-55-140.zip

I clicked on my city and get this strange wall extension along the edge of the map segment.
That happened to me, but I was able to save game, exit and restart program, then load game and it fix it.
I have an unfinished "escort noble lady to her home" quest that I can't complete because the lady somehow disappeared before I reached the estate. [e digicons]
Thanks. prntscreen--never would have thought of that. [e digicons]:)[/e]
Long game, crashes on end of turn. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6038367/Elemental0_3-2010-04-17T15-03-22-812.zip http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6038367/debug.err http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6038367/DxDiag.txt
I see screenshot format is listed in options. What is the key combo that actually takes a screenshot?
I zoomed in to look at my town before ending turn. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6038367/Elemental0_299-2010-04-14T20-07-28-359.zip http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6038367/debug.err3 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6038367/DxDiag.txt

Groups will move in the opposite direction when ordered to cross to another map segment. Turn 49: http://screencast.com/t/NTA4ZTVmMD Turn 50: http://screencast.com/t/ZTIzZTRjYTIt
It seems that every time I find a repeatable crash bug, it's been reported all ready. Click on quest tab-yep, been reported. Build third city--yep, been reported. Maybe I should also report the unrepeatable ones, the ones that happen for no apparent reason. Like; "Here's the dump file for crash on turn 3, no apparent reason." "Here's the dump for crash on turn 70, no apparent reason."
I'm not sure how to find the info card. I'm looking at the pop-up text for DEF which shows how DEF is calculated. This text states the dexterity that is used in the calculation, and it doesn't change after using the book. I see that same thing for a strength book--the pop-up text which shows the calculation for attack value states the strength used and the strength does not change after using a strength book.
Moved a scout onto 'dragon fire' location and activated the quest. Seems like a quest should only be activated by 'hero' types.
Flavor text for palace says income of 10 gold per turn. Icons on bottom of card indicate 5 gold and 5 prestige.
When ejecting knight from city, he moves onto non-allied adventurer and then moves away 3 spaces. When leaving scene of damsel in distress quest with sovereign, he leaves behind sovereign and moves two further squares with damsel. When entering city with sovereign & army, he jumps through city and emerges on the other side and moves two further squares with army but without sovereign.
Judging from the pop-up text that shows when you put the cursor on DEF of a character, then read the dex book. The dexterity value shown in the pop-up text does not change.
Although his description says "lore master--adds 2 spell points", the spell points are not added when he's in the capitol city.
Possibly because of city built next to it.
I'm male, but for RPG's in the third person, I like to play females. If I'm going to be staring at my character's rear end for hours, I'd rather my character be female.[e digicons]:)[/e] As for Galadriel and Eowyn, Eowyn was human and told not to fight, but she did anyway. Galadriel doesn't really count since she was an elf, several thousand years old, and a leader. But there are examples of heroic women in history--Joan d'Arc and Boudicca, and Cleopatra for exa
In Civ IV, different nationalities could make a big difference on how easy it was to hold a city of a different nation. You would have to stack up units in a city to keep it from going into revolt--the more different the people were from your home race, the worse it was.
I see this as a successor to Master of Magic which came before AOW. Master of Magic was a Civilization-type game and I think it was better than AOW.
