Considering recipes can't be copyrighted, I don't see it as much of a big deal. (Yes, individual recipes are specifically excluded under copyright law.) They should keep better track of what's on their website and what claims are made about it, though. If they present something as someone's favorite recipes, they should be just that. It shouldn't matter if the recipes happen to have originated elsewhere, as long as they're really the person's favorite recipes (which these apparen
Gene, there was no comment.
Eh, it was nothing important anyway. ;)
I hope you are well.
Actually, I'm in my third week with a cold/infection. But I'll be well eventually! :)
http://www.pendlehill.org/resources/
By the way, thanks for that link. There's some interesting stuff there I'll have to check out.
The employee of a candidate for a racially charged election must meet a higher level of conduct than an ordinary citizen. If she's so stupid she stuffs up like she did, she doesn't deserve her job with the campaign.
But she's not an employee, unless I missed something. She was assigned or elected (however it works in that particular state) to go to the convention as a delegate who will cast a vote for the party nominee.
Obama camp is offended when so
You gotta love minority on minority political correctness. What really bothers me about this story is the fact she was ticketed for this.
Ramirez-Sliwinski's $75 ticket was for "disorderly conduct," which Kilbourne defined as, "when a person does something that alarms or disturbs another."
With a definition that broad, I think we'd all be getting multiple tickets every day. And, by the way, how about calling the police because you
Women can always get more annoying.
At least it's not a banjo or a -- *SHIVER* -- ukulele.
After a few days of Nick's endless campaigning, I finally signed up for Twitter;
He inadvertently got this JoeUser twitterfied as well. It's a contagion.
http://www.polycat.net/
Nice site, by the way. ;)
I had no idea who Jack Thompson is or why this was related to gaming, but after looking up his entry on Wikipedia, all I can say is that the guy is a straight up loon.
It was our good friends at AOL(.com).
I had free Internet for almost two years because AOL wouldn't cancel my account. "Well, how about I just give you three free months, then if you change your mind...." Ah, the good old days. I miss the days before the dot bust when all those ISPs would give you a couple free months. Man... I didn't pay for Internet access for years and years.
In the case of Sprint, this seems like it would only end
If I'd known everyone was going to forget my birthday, maybe I'd have joined. (:( Even my "best friend"-by-default forgot, and she's all about the e-cards. *SIGH* So much for "writing it on (your) calender," huh? You know who you are. :(
I haven't seen any new episodes of it lately though, since the Writers strike?
According to Zap2it, Moonlight will return April 11th with 4 new episodes. Hopefully CBS will renew it, or idiots from all over the country will start sending them plasma bags. ;p
Hmmm, if that thing started humping your leg....
So he's an immortal, this John Amsterdam guy and he's been around for 300 years and he's not a vampire?! Wow! Something kin of like Angel, the series I was addicted to, (along with Buffy),
I didn't bother with New Amsterdam since, even sans vampirism, it sounded like a rip-off of Moonlight (which sounded like a rip-off of Angel, but I gave it a chance anyway), right down to the love of his life bit and wanting to be mortal. Blah. Have you watched <I
Would you stand by a cheater?
I would have said no, but that's not what I did. (I've never been married, but I have been cheated on.) When it came down to it, I just wanted to work things out and move forward. As for the public humiliation, news conference etc. angle, I don't know. As with the cheating, it's really impossible to say without living through it and being there in the moment. I can see still wanting to be supportive of the person I loved in what they
'Stupid' isn't word enough to describe it.
Hey, I'm supposed to be "constructive"! ;) C'mon, SanCho! You know you want to spend $25 for a former phone book that now looks like something which wants to break open and smother Sigourney Weaver! They'll probably even ship it to Spain for you. (I have to admit, sometimes when I see things such as this I wonder if Alan Abel isn't lurking somewhe
"In this job you've got a lot on your plate on a regular basis; you don't have much time to sit around and wander, lonely, in the Oval Office, kind of asking different portraits, 'How do you think my standing will be?'"
Hmmm. Why does he even bring that up? Not "much time"? Does that mean there is some time for it? Just a little teeny bit? That's almost scary. Do the portraits answer back? Does George Washington sound like his mom? Does he ever see the gh
Well, one the one hand it's a cute idea, but on the other hand, I think it will ultimately be impractical. I suspect most of those greenbugz will somehow find their way into the trash anyway, especially since they don't seem very... "durable." Even more especially since, "Granted it is paper, but your local municipalities recycling program will not take the greenbugz." People mean well, but, knowing people, most won't do this: "For any reason you do not want the greenbugz, send it back. We will
You do know The Onion isn't a real news site, right? :NOTSURE: Nothing on it is true. It's funny, to be sure, but I'm surprised how often people take it for being true. We had a radio station here going off for months on Bush over something that I tracked back to an Onion story. All those outraged people, because the station owners couldn't do a little research....
Not true.

so I know you had some people looking at it,
Let me emphasize, since I may not have been clear enough, I realize you had a beta site up for some amount of time longer than the three days (only Stardock staff and the actual beta testers would know how long), but the great majority of us barely had three days before you changed, and there is no way that any critiques made in that time could have had any impact on what was launched. B
Sure, we had the beta up for a long time before it went live where people could have given feedback but I don't expect the whiners to actually try to contribute.
Not true. Note the dates. Three days hardly qualifies as "a long time." I was in the midst of writing a detailed, screen shot laden critique of the beta site when you abruptly switched. Now, there seems little point, since
Wasn't one of his lies that he'd been knighted? Don't they check this stuff? Next thing you know, this guy will show up as a plastic surgeon on Discovery.
I still hate to see a good show go off the air.
I read they were looking to recast. :NOTSURE:
A couple of blocks down I found a brand new Whataburger. I would never have expected to find one here. You find Whataburgers all over Texas but until recently you never saw them anywhere else. The company has started expanding and building locations in other states after all of these years of being a Texas chain.
Yeah, I've seen Whatabruger's while passing through Texas, always wanted to try it, but never got a chance. Last time I was up in Kingman, AZ I noticed they were
