Do art gallery managers, even in NY, have the power to arrest people? Actually, anyone can arrest anyone else with the old "citizen's arrest" thing, can't they? That's what the cops told me to do with one of my neighbors if he acted up again. <img src="../images/smiles/grim.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid

I've been using the Anti-Spyware component in Advanced System Optimizer 2.01.4. ( Click here to read about it -- Click here to download. ) It's free for 30 days and seems to work well.
Spent almost 600 dollars already, which is crazy crazy. Wow. Could you add me to your Christmas List? I
Yeah, I saw this Picasso the other day... amazingly crappy. It preyed on my mind as I drove home in my car that has many hand-tooled parts which have lasted longer than the factory originals. "Why are handmade things such crap," I pondered, while sitting on my 30 year-old, handmade wooden couch. After a while I shrugged, turned on a 30 year-old, handmade light, picked up a 100 year-old hand-bound book, and forgot this startling revelation till now. Tha
I sat in wide-eyed, slack-jawed disbelief when I heard the Kobe/Malone story. While I'm planning my own Lakers article, let me say this much now -- Kobe's a punk and Jerry Buss needs a brain transplant.
You cant throw virtual rice. the virtural birds will eat it, blow up and Die! It's okay, I mixed the virtual rice with virtual Gas-X first.
ps..how ya doin? Heh, well for the most part better. I'm not in constant, overwhelming pain right now. And that's a good thing. The mental faculties are another matter. It comes and goes. The other day at the bank, while trying t
Congratulations! -=virtual rice throw=- Too bad you didn't go to that Chapel that puts your wedding onto the Internet. (It's across from Burger King on the Northern end of the strip, just past Stratosphere). Then we could all sit here and watch you.
"The Legend of Edger Hell." I like it -- I see a novel, maybe a movie deal....
12/03/83 as in 12th of March. Just precising cuz i think in the US they show dates different (?) Yes, in America "12/03/83" would be read as "December, 3rd, 1983." (We put the month first, then the day.) My message board software
Most public libraries allow unfiltered access. Have you tried one of them? (This coming from a guy who thinks kids shouldn't be allowed on the Internet and that libraries shouldn't allow them unfiltered access? What am I doing?!)
While I currently have the account set to show my real name, my actual handle here is SmartAz. Like so many, my first choice (WiseGuy) was taken, so I started playing with it till it transmorgified into something functional that satisfied me. I once wrote an article to tell the entire story ( click here to read it ). From the last paragraph: 'So, SmartAz means "S
An "Adopt-a-Highway" sign revealed that the following stretch of highway was adopted by "Friends of the Pickin' Shack". . . . She then mentioned the Pickin' shack, and took the time to show us where it was located, only a few blocks south of our house. God, I love synchronicity (or
"Target stores change their corporate policy regarding The Salvation Army," said the news anchor. "Not so fast," replied the blogger. When Target decided to ban Salvation Army bell-ringers at their stores, they gave the lame excuse that allowing one charity "wasn't fair" to other charities. "Allowing these organizations to solicit means that Target w
Yeah, like Edge in Highlander: Endgame. Totally incongruous. It took you right out of the movie (especially with his lousy acting!). They promoted the thing so heavily during Smackdown/Raw that when his scene came up I sat there thinking, "Oh, yeah, there's Edge! This is what they were talking about!" Forget that there was a film going on....
You said "In California the only time your ballot gets stuck in an envelope is if there is cause to make it provisional." So how do they mail out Absentee Ballots? Technically an absentee ballot is a form of provisional ballot in that it requires a signature and verification before being accept
Eastern Diamondback, thanks for the information. I have another 3 1/2 hours before I get to see it. Grrr. I gotta get DISH Network or something....
Update: According to The Washington Post , the amount Ken Jennings loses by is $5,602, not $5,202. (That link also has more accurate information about the final episode than the link in the article.) For those who can't get enough Jennings-mania, he's scheduled to appear on both "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "Nightline" tonight. Withd
Attention, Jeopardy fans. Today should be the day longtime Jeopardy Champion Ken Jennings loses. After 74 straight wins and more than 2.5 million dollars he will succumb on tonight's show -- Tuesday, November 30th. (In areas where Jeopardy is delayed a day because of Monday Night Football it may be shown tomorrow -- Wednesday, December 1st.) Ken Jennings

Bush: "See, I can touch my nose. I'm not drunk, trooper." Thereza was absolutely stone-faced, wooden, seemingly distracted and just plain droopy, looking like she would have given anything to be anywhere but there. She always looks like that to me. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" bor

I don't think the ballot is actually shredded, just damaged in such a way that it can't be put back through The radio guys said it was shredded here, but since I have no personal knowledge of it, I'll cede to your greater experience, Daiwa. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd
How can you do recounts? You can't. It's a problem with many electronic voting methods. That's what the radio guys were going off about. What I got from it is that the state of Arizona considers this a form of electronic voting, and that they also consider the count so infallible that a recount would ju
