This morning I flipped on C-SPAN a little bit early to hear President Bush's address to the General Assembly of the United Nations. To my benefit, I got to hear Brazil's President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, give his speech, who went right before Bush. As I listened to his words, I couldn't help but feel inspired. He painted a sad but true picture of the world and the

Well, maybe you are right--that the Bush camp leaked info that they might cancel only to change expectations--but in any case I plan to submit a petition that shows both candidates how important these debates are to the people of the United States. Part of the reason I haven't fully marketed my site (I've only sent the link to a few friends, and posted this article on my blog) is because I don't expect the final word on whether Bush will accept the deb

So the biggest party/concert at my university (it's called W.I.L.D. = Walk In, Lie Down) was this weekend. Traditionally everyone gets pretty wasted. The headlining band was Osomatli. They were really good. I wasn't too drunk, but the concert ends really early (to satisfy city noise level requirements), and people party lots afterwards. Anyways, I went to a

You may have heard recently that President Bush has expressed a desire to cancel the Third Presidential Debate, which is scheduled to take place at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri on October 8, 2004. I heard on the news tonight that can

And it needn't cost an arm and a leg. Or even much taxpayer money - X-Prizes, tax breaks, tax holidays and so forth are _cheap_ for the benefits returned, and don't require a 20,000 person army to administer. I agree! Kerry seems to agree, too.

No. I did not. Sadly, all we exchanged were the customary greetings shaking of hands a few comments pose for a picture, sign an autograph and then be bustled along by secret service. I don't know how secret service have been at your events, but at the fundraisers I have been to they have been very impolite to the guests. </T

Hmm. Was your experience good? I have only met him during a number of fundraising events and dinners. Yes, it was a fun time, rather exciting. Did you get to talk with him much when you met him? What did you ask him?

i agree with prioritization, and yes debt is maybe top priority. but space is always long term priority, and needs to remain being pushed to stay a priority. so there is really no time for stressing or time against. cannot be overlooked. wait, can be stressed, but can never be forgotten. is almost always forgotten during presidential campaigns, so we're trying to change that.

I'll write more about my fourth Kerry rally experience later, but for now check out this excerpt from the message I sent to KerrySpace for a general idea of how the experience went... ------------------------------------------------ This is just a somewhat quick message to let you know that I<B

a) You don't have to give your information to look at the website. All of the website is free and open to the public. All of the pages are not linked from the front page, but you could type in the specific URL of the other pages, and they would load just fine. We are working on developing the page, and eventually it will have a menu to navigate to the different parts of the page. To be honest though, there isn't much there right now to naviga

Went to the Cards game last night, saw MattyMo pitch a 2-hitter against NL West leaders Dodgers, saw two tators (unexpectedly by Reggie Sanders and Mike Matheny). Drank 2 large Bud lights at $8.75 a pop. Cardinals now have 90 wins and are on a 7-game winning streak and have won 11 out of the last 13 games. By far the best team in baseball. Afterw

I've recently been buying up some domain names. Some of them extremely useful, but I guess it's just my way to carve out my little place on the internet. Plus, it's kind of fun to mess around with making sites. Here is my current virtual estate: 22nd.org I bought this site after hours of s

This post is mainly to share some history, which I recently researched, about the English invasions of Scotland. The story about how I came to research this topic might be fairly interesting to some, so I'll set it up below...but for those of you who just want the history, you can click here . <

I believe it is illegal to purchase or sell a vote. It is illegal in most states to purchase or sell sex. Therefore, by the transitive property (or something like that), I think it is illegal to trade sex for votes. I doubt that will stop you though. I'm sure there are plenty of honey dems willing to sell their bod to the party line.

I have cable. I don't think it was a problem just with the connection here. it looked more like a problem digitally with the broadcast. since i don't have digital cable, my guess is it's something with NBC's system. It was a couple of days ago. Maybe you didn't catch that particular coverage.

Lots of coverage, yes. But lots of commercials interspersed, including in the middle of a great soccer match. Soccer doesn't have any breaks you jerks, and thus can't have commerical breaks. If you want to put a little banner up at the top, that's fine, but don't go away from the game for 5 minutes when there could be a goal. Assholes. Did anyone see how ba

Hey sally, thanks for the boob article. not to sound "pervy" as you say, but couldn't you enhance the article with a picture? not naked of course, but something that shows your form, or even a bathing suit. as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. as to why men are so fascinated with boobs? i can't answer that. it is just so. i usually don't have conversations with them, but sometimes i find myself staring. don't know why. bu
