"I take a 3 1/2 but an 8 feels so good." -Olive Oyl to Popeye- referring to her size in roller skates. Some of the best lines come from cartoons. And then, there's some that are direct from life. I love being an auntie. In some ways, it's better than being a Mommy because you can spoil your sibling's child rotten and give them back when they star

Unfairman, I really meant to click on Interesting, but I gave you an Insightful instead. That's not to say that I found this less appealing, rather, I'm so used to seeing Trolling as the other option that I automatically hit the link that implies 'good stuff!'

Sounds like things are going good for you. Yes, I read all the way through and I feel the love... :)

I’ve been in this weird, cloudy mood all day. Not a “storm’s a brewin’” kinda mood... more like a lazy, fluffy, not-on-solid-ground kind of mood. Perhaps it’s just that I’ve been slightly exhausted after spending a night out playing pool, enjoying good conversation, and consuming pints of beer at my favorite hangout. I’m definitely lacking in the sleep department, but things just keep ticking u

I've got a bit of a hangover. Not too much overdrinking but definitely not enough sleep. And here I am.

Kole loves maps. She has a collection of them. Road maps, topographical maps, hiking trail maps, bus routes and also several different globes. The only suggestion that I have is to gather an assortment of maps from your hometown, and of the places where your friends or relatives reside. It really gets them interested in knowing more about them(your relatives and friends), and kind of makes them seem closer, if they can locate where they are on the map

I'm going to forgo pets altogether. I like other people's dogs, cats, etc., in general, but feel that I'm not responsible enough to care for anyone/anything else. Kole's trial 'pet' is glass fish. She's got to change the water occasionally. That's it. She doesn't even have to feed them, of course. You cannot imagine the number of times that just due to the act of condensation, the whole bowl has gone dry! It's not her fault either... I'm just as forget

Okay, before we begin, most of this is just generality. I mean, I know not every guy would even act this way, and not every girl sees her comments as verbal jabs that way... but I think there are far more consistencies with both viewpoints. Girls use words as weapons. Guys get back by sleeping with their friends' girlfriends. My sister read this book once, and said that

Yeah, sadly, I am too, when it comes to driving. It's always the ones with the fancy cars who tend to do all the challenging on the road. Just because my crapcar can't accelerate as fast, doesn't mean that I can't drive at the proper speed once I get going. And that's when tend to show them who's boss. Actually, I suppose I am a shitty driver, at least in terms of manners. I do a lot of swearing. I'm not a road-rager, but jeez, if you've got

Hmm... being one of the three mentioned, I'd like to say something. Not in defense, but to point a few things out. Firstly, welfare is different here. I don't know the exact totals that a single parent with a dependent child can recieve in the States, and it varies here in Ontario. I am existing on an very low amount of money per month. We occasionally need to go to food banks. But, yes, I am in this position because I did not want to get mar

I am going to have to agree wholeheartedly with both of your reviews. The Core cost my poor sister 15 bucks in late fees (hehehe) because I couldn't watch it all at once, but was determined to get through it. I expected a lot more from Hillary Swank. DJ Qualls just makes me cringe, wondering when he's going to be humiliated in any flick. And LEG? What a waste of good actors! I generally will see anything with Richard Roxburgh in it... but man... what

I think, Jamie, that you might have something going there. It was always great to see Clive's responses to some of the best stuff that they came up with. Drew Carey, while being a funny guy, always seems to just chuckle along at everything. Though, I can't get over how quick those guys really are... I know I couldn't do it.

You know, I'd like to say that I know everything... but I don't. Some of the questions that I will list aren't really things that I have an answer to, because I'm either not experienced enough, am not that concerned about (enough to call a help line) or really serious about, but have wondered about... Here goes: At what age can you allow your kid to be home alone at? For insta

Muggaz, Some parts of your blog I agree with. I have known on several occasions, women who have pointed the finger unjustly at particular people and then saw their lives damaged beyond repair. These two women (in separate incidents) later gave up their legal fight and it was later disclosed that neither incident took place. These poor guys, while being cleared of the accusations, have yet to really live down the brand as 'rapist' and will never live it

If there were greater accountability of the chiefs then more of the money that's supposed to benefit the whole tribe, actually would go to them. I tend to agree with this statement. On many reserves that are home to a small population, band councils are often comprised of members of particular families

I'm not even going to give you the exact tally, but I went to my ISP site to track down how many hours online I've accumulated. Add in the hours that I use the net for school and at my parents' house and you've got some serious numbers. However, prior to getting internet service at home, I was the Backgammon Champion on my computer. I had three different versions of the game all at varying levels. The amount of time spent at playing the game w

How could science possibly disprove it? I don't see anything short of Jesus returning that would prove or disprove anything. JillUser: Sorry, I meant to say that science could disprove blood memory , but to those who believe in blood memory, science doesn't have any bearing on the matter. In this

Hey, it's cool that you posted this idea.. I was going to post something somewhat similar but from my cultural 'teachings'. I think the end question is the same though... here's mine. There are some Aboriginal groups that believe in 'blood memory'. Blood memory is a belief that stems from an inner wanting to know the past of our culture. It is something that is awakened in our consciousness at a particular point in our lives that drives us 'h

Before I knew the feeling I felt I built myself some self-preservation. I didn't know you did it, too. Feigning sleep I watched you with one eye almost lidded. I saw your right eye flutter, then close tight, again. The strategy of relations turned comical, as we matched each other step for step, tit for tat, until it those steps started

Dharma, I don't think that you nor Jill are lumped in the same category with Sherye, it sounds opposite, actually... I agree with your position about going up against debating giants when you don't have all the proper citations at hand, but neither of us are stupid for that. It's just different writing styles and, of course, points of view.

At first, it was a writing experiment... up until this point, I had never been able to keep much of a personal writing thing going. My experience to date has been with essays, newspaper columns, and plays. Now, I'm just hooked on the format, the people, and the varying topics of debate. Mind you, there's a shitload of things (okay, maybe certain people) that bother me about it, but not enough to up and quit. The good far outweighs the bad.
