i actually told my wife "I meet this guy on-line, and he wants to meet up at the pool here today" Notice i waited until we were AT the resort and AT breakfast in a PUBLIC place. she goes "WHAT?" and i spent the next 20 mins telling her about IRC (she is COMPLETLY Computer stupid) and skinning, etc. She knows nothing about my on-line life, and doesnt care at all. She goes "well that sounds nice, do i need to be there?" I said "no, ill take Alex,

thegodbomb, 1. as for a button you would need to change the "mouse over/out" to onclick type events (im not on my normal laptop so i cant give you the exact code). Download one of the thousand other DX widget that are here and find one with a button, and look at the code. 2. drag/drop can be done a lot of ways, look at http://romanda.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SkinID=866&LibID=34&comments=1 for how one way was done. or look

Andrew_ Couple of suggestions for the next version. 1. A way to turn off the notices about the live preview/on/off. Just add a check to disable them 2. A way to zoom out so i can pick a different sized area of the screen. Its really kewl... I think we need a library for the themes, and some info on how to make them, reallllllly Nice!!

in order for one object to control another object you need to use: desktopx.object("name"). where "name" is the name of the object you want to control. I would have ALL of the above code in the button, not the rollup/down object. Assuming the ROLLUP objects' name is "ROLLOBJ" It would change like this: (im not editing it all, but this should help) Sub Object_OnScriptEnter desktopx.Object("ROLLOBJ").StatePreempt = desktopx.Object("ROLLOBJ").P

check out my Drive Meter WWW Link It has that ability built in, along with the timer etc. The trick on it is to put in an IF to NOT look at the A: B: drive, or else the floppy gets "hammered" all day long. I think the latest version fixed that. If not email me and ill help ya.

I think we could roll desktop gadgets into wc now, allowing free and for sale gadgets on wc would help. I like the PM idea, as its hard sometimes to get a hold of some people, with so much dang SPAM in email, this might help. I agree that the rating system needs worked on. My opinion is that if you had to have your nick associated with your rating it would keep people from slamming others ratings just to be jerks.

Podshow.com you can setup, upload, and even get an itunes link from this site. ALL FREE. We podcast our weekly church service thru podshow, and most people just use iTunes to have it automatically download the podcast. Podshow does put in a "ad" before and after your podcast, but sine they charge nothing for storage space and bandwidth it think its more than worth the trade off. good luck

Our network is so "locked down" we are unable to access updates we NEED to download for software or hardware WE support. With all the proxy server problems, multiple routers, and issues with the way they have the system borked, its so slow we were getting downloads of around 20k on a T-1 line. Its so bad we gave up. We installed a separate DSL line that has NO connection to our business lan. And about 80% of us use this DSL line. I have to tell you

Dont forget to take that aspirin (Bayer) for your headache. I need some now. BTW: Does hightlighting something and hitting "Quote" work for anyone else using firefox? It just pastes in the quote tags, not the quote.
