It truly amazes me that Afghanistan went from a therocracy to a true democracy in only a few short years. I remember reading about the awfull conditions of Afghanistan and hoping that things would imrpove there. I am gladdened greatly that they have taken their baby steps towards a true democracy without stumbing too much.

David so your recommendation of appeasement and allowing the terrorists victory over Isreal would somehow equal security of the United States then you are more nieve then I thought. This would encourage terrorism as they would see that they can affect policy. Look in Iraq and see the increasing amount of kidnappings and beheadings. Once you set policy as to negotiate with terrorists, you will encourage them to continually attack the U.S.

I am enjoying each and every day, learning, discovering more and more about life. Everday is a new day and a different discovery, a different view, a different lesson. Constantly learning and growi

Just to throw in a current event relating to the topic. A 15 year old child just murdered his mother yesterday. Why because they were fighting about allowing a 19 year old girlfriend to come over. This is after a previous attack upon her a few years ago. She worked in a correctional facility. According to the neighbor she would spoil this kid with everything he asked for, new computer, new clothes everything. The father is not in the picture and

It's not such a bad idea at all, it certainly would help with cetain families that would value careers, or worse yet, drugs and partying over their own children. But what would a test be like for parenting? What values/morals and questions would necessity the answers for good parents? How do you work it, that you have to achieve a 100% or would there be a sliding scale? Would a C+ parent be good enough to be a good parent?

How to run the country better than the alternatives. Definitely leading the way would be The War in Iraq. I would have to say what needs to occur there is security. Right now the insurgency is running rampant and that is causing reconstruction to slow to a crawl. You need to go in there decidedly and to achieve victory over insurgency. I would look at the different groups that were involved in it and see what could be done to negotiate with the f

That is very true, I did find myself at the other end of it, for I did indeed pay for the sins of another. That is part of the sharing and part of the process. Seeing that in my partner was hurting. I saw in her the pain that someone else inflected and yet it was me who had to pay. I shared her pain and hopefully we grew closer for it.

Correcting these behaviors would start with the parents. Willy Wanka hit it on the head when he was saying who’s fault lies when your kid is a brat? The Mother and the Father. Without proper parenting kids will suffer from it. It sounds like these kids have a lack of control and discipline, and were also brought up to hate. If the parents hold ignorant prejudice attitudes the children will adopt similar views in life. I can say th

Calling American Solders whom are risking their lives for the freedom of Iraq, and belittling them is horrible. Kerry was trying his best to spin it that the U.S. solder doesn't know what he/she is doing. While Bush used the kid reference when he was trying to bolster the moral of the troops. Tell me who is being the bad one there? Gives CamMeg some wood.

I wonder if Kerry CAN say what he is going to do and still win. His tent is so broad, encompassing so many people of differing opinions, that he is guarenteed to turn someone to Bush when he announces something he is really going to do the moment he has the chance. It's amazing but even after the secon

The media always spins these things to make Israel look like an aggressor. It's amazing in the face of this tradegy that the media was still trying to stick it to the Jewish People.

I am pleasantly pleased by the results of this debate. President Bush was able to articulate effectively what he was trying to convey across to the American people. Kerry was charismatic as always, but this time issues came up that he was unable to fully address. He kept concentrating upon the questions he liked and shy away from the questions that he felt was not

Your Rant is so much better than these sell alleged experts on T.V. telling us what solders think. You are there, you know what's really going on. On the ground fighting the war, you know far better than biased Media what is truly going on. Thank you for your post it is truly enlightening.

Right now, somewhere, little Democrat gnomes are outfitting pigs with wings... I like that so much! Kerry has the Gnomes working for him. Support Kerry and support the little gnomes of America! Support Bush support real Americans!

If Bush and Kerry had 100 debates Kerry would win on Style everytime. However, I'd rather be served Bush's substance on a paper plate with a plastic fork than Kerry's style on a silver platter and a silk napkin. It's what's served on the plates that counts, and I like what Bush is serving up!

Bush did a lot better in this debate, Kerry did win several points, but Stem Cell research, abortion, fiscal policy, and the War in Iraq, Bush was able to be strong and agressive. He was a totally different Bush, the Bush I wanted to see in the first debate finally took place here. He truly looked like the Commander in Chief!
