It truly amazes me that Afghanistan went from a therocracy to a true democracy in only a few short years. I remember reading about the awfull conditions of Afghanistan and hoping that things would imrpove there. I am gladdened greatly that they have taken their baby steps towards a true democracy without stumbing too much.

David so your recommendation of appeasement and allowing the terrorists victory over Isreal would somehow equal security of the United States then you are more nieve then I thought. This would encourage terrorism as they would see that they can affect policy. Look in Iraq and see the increasing amount of kidnappings and beheadings. Once you set policy as to negotiate with terrorists, you will encourage them to continually attack the U.S.

Just to throw in a current event relating to the topic. A 15 year old child just murdered his mother yesterday. Why because they were fighting about allowing a 19 year old girlfriend to come over. This is after a previous attack upon her a few years ago. She worked in a correctional facility. But what would a test be like for parenting? What values/morals and questions would necessity the answers for good parents? That is very true, I did find myself at the other end of it, for I did indeed pay for the sins of another. That is part of the sharing and part of the process. Seeing that in my partner was hurting. I saw in her the pain that someone else inflected and yet it was me who had to pay. I shared her pain and hopefully we grew closer for it.

If Bush and Kerry had 100 debates Kerry would win on Style everytime. However, I'd rather be served Bush's substance on a paper plate with a plastic fork than Kerry's style on a silver platter and a silk napkin. It's what's served on the plates that counts, and I like what Bush is serving up!
Bush did a lot better in this debate, Kerry did win several points, but Stem Cell research, abortion, fiscal policy, and the War in Iraq, Bush was able to be strong and agressive. He was a totally different Bush, the Bush I wanted to see in the first debate finally took place here. He truly looked like the Commander in Chief!
