I found my problem. Unknowingly I created an Artifact on one planet that was not written correctly. As it seems that Sins loads maps right at the start you get an error. When I deleted my custom map and loaded the old version, everything was alright again. Checked by loading new one and Bingo got the error again. Deleted it, and working. As for random errors, could it be that the random map generator produces such errors?

Found reason but no explanation. Apparently it is due to my galaxy forge map. I played it for two days now, but for whatever reason I can't even load it into the Forge anymore. Will create error too. Here's what the Forge says: (please excuse German comments) System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException: Eine externe Komponente hat eine Ausnahme ausgelöst. bei new[](UInt32 ) bei Iron.DynamicVector ,1>.SetMaxSize(DynamicVector<Iron::FixedString

Hi, strangest thing happened. Played Sins since :) release now and this evening, all of a sudden i got a Visual C++ Runtime error when trying to start the game. Did not change a thing. Ideas?

Hey guys, i just released the final version of my first map that i tweaked quite a bit. It makes strategic use of wormhole connections between star systems. It's a 1vs1 as of now, but I can increase it to 1vs1vs1vs1 or 2vs2 if you like it. Please try it and tell me what you think. You can download it via the official map download link at the top.

Wormholes to other stars have to be written in manually. I was just recently told how and created a map with that working just fine. Takes a bit of thinking though. Look in the Labyrinth Map via Notepad and look for interstarconnections. You'll figure it out. Important hint: Once you wrote interstarconections in, DO NOT load map in Galaxy Forge again, as it will delete those. Or load up Notepad copy the section, and paste in once changes have been made. Ok... too late i just noticed :L

And thanks to you again psugar... I have now successfully mastered interstellar wormholes , not just those interplanetary ones.

Just read the post above mine. But shouldn't it matter since this is where ingame created maps are naturally stored? I just tested it. Although the Galaxy looks nothing like what i planned it to be, (distances still elude me) it actually worked that way. Doesn't that mean it's gamecode related?

I was with the beta since middle last year. Beta3 i think. But on this very PC (which is new) I only had beta4 installed. But I properly uninstalled it before installing the final.

I'm actually against reinstalls, especially with such a fine-crafted game like SoaSE. I don't think that's it.

I could be so daring and upload it to the official map downloads section.. I have no other means. This map is actually totally crazy, but my first other tries with a reasonable yet challenging layout yielded the same results...

I for one can say that i have def placed two homeworlds for the corresponding players, and I think that this can't account for the "starting out map" when launching the Forge. I could upload a picture if i knew how.. just as pnd said, just load a generated map into the Forge, maybe shorten a few phase lanes, and bingo insta-defeat and another thing i noticed.. i saw wormholes connecting different star systems in a random map, in the Forge however I am unable to connect wormhole

Same thing is happening to me. At first I thought I was due to my tampering with a map created by map designer, but funny thing is, that i tried to play the map that loads a as a base to work from when launching the Forge, and INSTANT DEFEAT again. Solutions?

I used the SDC Server #2 and ticked the box in the settings to check for continuous updates. Downloading is awesome. Started 5minutes ago and it's only 22minutes to go.
