I have pretty wavy hair (pretty functioning as an understated adverb here) that goes crazy in the humidity. Even if I wore a ponytail, bits of it around my ears escaped and curled up around my ears like the ghosts of princess leia's scary buns-do. I also got a sore head from contstant pony tails. So I got a straight perm about six months ago. It was great!

Thanks for the well wishes. It is great to start being active again. I hate feeling like a slug.
! I can imagine what kind of help you get! When my brother and sister were that age, my mom used to tell them that cleaning the carpet was fun. We had some kind of wierd carpet that got really linty and apparantly mom said something like, "Let's pick lint! Won't that be fun!" and apparantly my brother and sister bought it! I escaped the lint picking because I was going to school. And
I can finally feel myself getting fitter. Things have been wierd for me since the end of April when I had miscarriage (very early) and then a month later some complications that took a while to get fixed. Basically, I've been a lump for the last few months, especially before a recent surgery that cleared up my probs. It's hard to take public transport if you think
No reading today as I did three articles yesterday and I was starting to get annoyed with the feeling of too much reading and not enough doing. Today, a lot of doing. Got two hours sleep because it was so darn hot last night. Don't know what we did to the airconditioner. Two nights ago I was wrapping my blanket around my head and thinking about wearing a t
I’ve got a summer cold from using the air-conditioner. Figures. Work cancelled today, fortunately. So now for today’s new website: http://www.lifetoolsforwomen.com/main-personal.htm Link In general, the procrastination tips were about as specific as yesterday’s. Ok. <BR
The website I was thinking about is "43 Things" Link It's about people writing the 43 things they want to do in their life. This link will take you right to the one about procrastinating
With few exceptions, though, we do it anyway; we do everything we can to keep civilians safe, sometimes putting ourselves in harm's way. Some guys get really angry about it, and I can see their point, they are being put at risk for someone they don't know. The good ones, though, just do the job that is in front of them, and keep
I hope your scheduling works out! Thanks for the well wishes! A lot of it has to do with having some pretty major things that I am not in control of, so i focus on some petty things I can control and then when those things go south? Maybe it's easier to freak about those things. I dunno.
There is another site that I found that looked pretty good. People write what helped them most recently. I'll see if I can find it.
Start: 11:03 Here's a link to the first article I read Link Words in quotation marks are from the article. This guy has the same article in lots of different places on the web, Lin
By the way... I did finish all the tidying up!!!
This is a completely self-indulgent blog... I have to admit that. Yep. I agree about the "do it" part. Usually reading stuff like this kick-starts me to go do something. But maybe I need to start reading things through a little more. Mostly, I feel like I'm not doing enough. First, find out what you should be
Ok... I just finished doing 20 minutes of general tidying up so I feel a little bit better. I have issues with housework which are better suited to another blog. So what are the rules gonna be???? Best to keep it simple and just a week long. I should be able to manage 7 days, right? (sniggers derisively). I figure read one or two web articles abou
In one of those stupid moments of procrastination, I decided to look up on the web how to stop procrastinating. Ironic. Like a sinking person thinking about using a rope and then not bothering to use one. Anyhow... I found this link about what people are doing to stop procrastinating Link Just brows
Been ages since I blogged. I check out the forums pretty regularly but haven't really had anything to contribute. A lot of articles seem interesting, but don't really need y 2 cents so I don't deposit. Then there's that whole blog angst, "what should I write?" etc. So I return to my blog as a place where folks and friends back home can check on what's going on ove
I kind of disagree with points of your article and disagree with others. I'm a woman. I don't like assholes or bastards. I admit to having dated a few, but also broke up with them when I found out what jerks they were. I like nice guys. Why would I waste my time with someone who isn't going to treat me well? Having said that, I like my nice guy to be a strong person. Mainly, this is so that I don't have to pretend to be a weak woman to
In other news, I had a strange allergic reaction to a sock. It is a sock I have worn before without problems. My foot was super itchy (top) and I took off my sock and my foot was red as a watermelon. I thought I had maybe burned my foot by having it too close to the heater, but the bright redness of the foot subsided within 30 minutes of taking the sock off, so that
Didn't they also start to build cars there because the tarrifs imposed outweighed the benefit of producing the car in Japan? I realize that this still means "cheaper" but they weren't saving on labour costs etc by building cars in the US, were they?
These things are like busses. There will be another one coming along. And like a lot of busses, they don't run according to schedule. Would be nice if they did, though. Enjoy being "in love" but that feeling will come again. No worries. There are a lot of great people out there. And that whole "the one" thing is about "the one" you make it work with.
First, it means that we aren't fighting; secondly, and most importantly, it means that we are thinking of the same goals, trying to accomplish the same things and having an understanding about how the other person feels without having to tell each other. In my experience, this is a rare occurence.
I actually boycott products that have commercials I don't like. Probably, it is fortunate that I don't get to watch a lot of TV and most of the commercials I hate are things that I don't like anyway. Hmmm... I sound petulant. Point is, if it is really a stupid commercial, why should I support the stupidity by paying for the commericial by buying the product? I also boycott places with really bad service or inept employees. I don't
I have been getting on really well with hubby lately. I probably didn't think hard enough about how to express this to him. Instead, I said, "Honey, I feel really in harmony with you right now." Basic error, was that I forgot to translate this into Man and spoke Woman instead. He gave me a puzzled look, narrowed his eyes and said, "Do I have to do anything
Lurking reader has been chastised into making her hopes for the pope's recovery to be written down. I agree with what all of you said of the pope. Hmmm... not eloquent, but the intention is there.
Okay, wierd title error and I don't feel like fixing it. Hubby came home today and brought me some high class chocolate. Two truffles and a tiny box of chocolate covered orange peel. The fact that I like chocolate covered orange peel means that I have officially moved into adulthood. I used to think it was totally disgusting. If I get the good stuff, it i
