Is it even possible to balance the game so the player will have an equal chance at victory with every race in the game, across all difficulty levels?
Short answer=no And I don't think we can expect Stardock to fully balance all 12 races it's probably impossible to make them all equal in quality. However races like the Drengin in my eyes are obviously underpowered so Stardock needs to improve them imo. The reason I brought up difficulty was because at to
If anyone wants to explain to me exactly why I'm an idiotic noobtard who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about and that the Drengin need to be buffed, I'm all ears : But my initial thoughts are that they're fine.
Try playing all the races at maso or higher and i'm sure you'll find the drengin to be one of if not the weakest race, tough should be easy for anyone. Do a like for like comparison with Korath. Only thing Drengin are good at really is solderering, Drath
Regardless of replies or the lack thereof, I've been adding roundups into the first post (which does not update the date on the thread) each week. If you look you'll see this bug in there.
Ah thx kryo. I wasn't aware the first post was being edited I was just looking at date the thread was updated so not looking there very often, and when I did going to the newest update ie the bottom one. I imagine others may be doing the same...
If the modules are pretty powerful, it might further feed some people's worries that the Drath are overpowered late in the game.
From the little look i've had the Drath look like a military powerhouse too me. If you can get there economy going they can be very strong imo. There PQ building is best improvement in game. Brilliant Ship modules(i think)+lots weapons defence bonus great diplomacy gives you time to get economy going, very strong race imo. People may be righ
I was just noticing the same thing last night. Given that defence and offence meditation are race-specific, I was looking forward to see what they did.
The Draths modules look pretty good too reading the tech tree info. Suprised no ones posted this bug yet considering theres a big Drath economy thread on here. Their modules will be one of their biggest strengths once there working.
It's on our reported bug list that we edit ourselves. We don't have the time to reply personally to every thread on the forums. We made the sticky threads for the reported bugs for that purpose.
Thankyou for replying Cari. The stickied threads havn't been updated for weeks now (edit: Dec 5 before your update today), many bugs are being reported multiple times because no one knows if Stardock knows about them or not. Just the stickied bug threads being updated on
I'd love to know if they've bothered to fix the AIs poor planetary development skills in TA.
Dont think they've touched the AI yet in TA. Suicidal Torians did well vs me in beta3b though tbh.
I can only imagine how strong a suicidal AI would be if it actually was smart enough to build factories first, or have half decent economy planets. (oh, and not waste all it's time building terraforming improvements)
Hope Stardock are listening.<br/
Is it going to make it today??? Stardock??? Has anyone seen any official response at all this week from any post from Stardock?
I think they've been abducted by aliens. ;)

Wow you really can't criticise anything on here. I feel some of the responses from bonscott and danielost are both very childish and unnnescecarily petty for no good reason. I havn't demanded anything. I've spent my money on this game and I have a right to air my opinion on its progress whether it's in beta stage or not. I personally feel if the beta forums were better utilized by Stardock it might actually speed up the removal of bugs in the game. There are at least 3 seper
Why don't you just wait until the final release then, you obviously don't want to help out with the beta.
I've posted a load of bugs whether that has helped I dont know thats the problem. It seems you can't raise a concern on this forum without a fanboy making a lazy comment. Are you worried there not going to release TA just because of some tiny criticism, is that it? Is Stardock so perfect they can't do anything more than there already doing in your opinion? <br
With Respect Lenius, you can't expect Stardoc to support a Beta the way they would a full release. The point of a Beta is to identify bugs, which they will then investigae prioritize and fix. Most games have a single if any public Beta and it's only when the final game comes out you find out if a bug you reported has yet been fixed. Stardoc don't need to respond on the forum to every Beta bug report.
If your happy with Stardock great. But I'm not, if I'm going t
Not sure if it has been posted yet, i tried to do a search but was unable to find anything....
Check out my Starport Full bug on beta report forums, yet another bug Stardock has failed to respond to. As great as the game is there communication with us beta testers is woeful currently.
