Here's another great tip for ya... in the April 2004 Horse & Rider, on page 49, there's an article on longeing (i knew we were spelling it wrong... hehehe) if you've got an extra couple bucks, this mag might be worth buying...

This guy sounds like a really good dude... not to mention a lucky guy to be hanging out with you. I was the "nice guy" back in school, and for a few years after graduating, but then I became the ass hole for a while, before going back to my nice guy roots. I'm overly nice to my girlfriend, but still kind of an ass hole to other people around me. (I just don't have time for peo

I don't really know the horse's temperament or behavior patterns, so it's hard to say if the bridle would be a good step to take right now. I would think that it would, just based on what you've said so far. But again, it's very important to either get the books, or get someone who's experienced with this stuff to show you what to do. Lots of people like to blame their animals when they misbehave (especially horses), when the truth of the

the first thing I would do if I were you, is get my hands on a horse training book. They actually do a pretty good job of outlining what you're supposed to do. I was able to 'start' horses all on my own after reading "The Man Who Listens to Horses" by: Monty Roberts. He has an appendix in the back of the book that outlines what to do. I'm not saying that would work for everyone, but it worked for me. if you're afraid, you're right, the h

Imajinit, it's below you to ride the fence. Creation would lose all its symbolism if it were merely an act of nature. I'm not riding the fence Dan... I never claimed that creation was merely an act of nature. The point I'm trying to make is that God used the process of Evolution to do his creating. I

i'm not telling you anything you don't know here, but I feel that it's worth mentioning this. Sometimes the best of all relationships start out as friendships... you just never know what's coming. Have you heard Reba McEntire's new song yet? give it a listen, or better yet, try n catch the video. It's good stuff and it kinda mentions what you're talking about here... no matter what happens, good luck to ya... Some relationships start out

if you want to talk about things that matter, then you're in the right place. If you want to talk about politics, there's a whole category about it. If you want to engage in intellectual discussions, you have simply to write a blog about a topic that you want to discuss, and then reply to the replies. To gain more exposure, it's good to post on other people's articles so more people know who you are... happy blogging dude

You're such a good writer Trin... your skills actually make me a little bit jealous... (i used to think I was a good writer until I came here... hehehe) anyhoo, thanks for sharing the little story... keep up the good work

got laid and managed to sprain my toe were these two related somehow? what crazy position in the Kama Sutra were you trying when you managed to pull that off?

my first impulse is to simply walk away and never give you so much as another thought... your comments certainly warrant that. But I'll humor you... what books would you, in your infinite wisdom, suggest?

Marvin... have you read "On the Origins of Species... " (not the full title)... have you studied Evolutionary Theory? Are you aware of "Darwin's Finches"? the Galagapos Islands? The Beagle Voyage? Artificial Selection? Natural Selection? Have you studied anything? Ever taken the time to read Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything" ? I believe in God just like you d

Believers would immediately counter that humankind is not privy to truth except when God wishes to reveal it, and in the meantime faith is tentative knowledge. Well I'm a believer, and that's not how I would counter... We are privy to the truth, and God wishes us to understand a whole lot more than wha

i agree with the message of your article... the only thing that I want to point out about it is this: the changes that have taken place over the last 50 years were/are a result of what our society wanted. We thought needed two incomes, so moms went to work. We thought we needed more 'me' time, so children started getting put on the back burner, we thought we needed a bigger house, a newer car, etc etc etc... i see this as a big circle that
