1.) i'm not a parent, so this is a toughy. my non-parental take on it is that I would make every effort to make sure that I never left my kid under the age of about 14 at home alone. (never is such a curious word)... my reason being that I could never forgive myself if something happened to my kid in those 5 minutes that I wasn't there. My sister runs a daycare and watches 12 kids everyday. There's no way she can 'be there' at all times, which is
Ali, I'm sorry to hear about old man winter hanging around too long. I lived up there for 3 years, and I remember the winters well... would this not be a good time to mention that it's been in the 60s around here lately? it's gonna be 67 degrees on Friday, and i'm going skydiving... do ya hate me? hehehe BAM!
misunderstanding of religion, and misuse of God's name doesn't mean that God is bad. "Religion" is a bad word for lots of people because of the things that have been carried out in God's name. These evils are the works of man... not of God. i only make this point because it's easy to lose sight of this fact.
not what I was expecting... an interesting look
Very well said Tandis
from cleaning up shit to drinking beer... marvelous transition
you're not going to want to hear this, but for the cat, you can stick something in her ie. a sterile Q-tip and that will quiet her down. that's all she needs to 'satisfy' the craving for some *ahem* lovin'... if you call a vet on the phone, they'd give you this info fer free...
you are correct sir... that one had a shelf life which expired
all this talk about drinking is making me wanna... get drunk!
at least I know I'm not alone... I should be studying right now too...
i don't think that rule still applies these days... nowadays after the 'war' is over, we stick around for a few years to regulate peace. it may not be 'war' anymore, but our soldiers are still getting killed. Gone are the days of WW1 and WW2 where we went in, accomplished the mission, and then for the most part withdrew...
that's the 3rd and 4th time that someone's mentioned Mr. Clean's eraser. If i ever cleaned anything, I might just have to give it a shot...
you'll have to keep us posted on which of those you decide on...
it's great to know that you have your grandma in your life... and I'm glad that you're able to recognize what a light she is.. I love my grandma too... I should call her more often
so basically what you're saying is that you really like the video and song then?
yes... just what we need... another way to encourage dishonesty in the world
Dynosaur - I think you should 'get back on airborne status'... that would make you feel young again I don't know what it means to be sore, or feel old, because I'm only 29, and I rarely exert myself these days. I've been contemplating the idea of getting back into running again. I'll let ya know how that goes. When I was in the Army, I used to exercise a lot (obviou
i'm a social outcast in real life who has no friends... so i blog here, feeling free to be myself, and apparently there are people here who don't mind that. oh, and it's good for my ego oh, and I like to make people think oh, and I enjoy reading other people's stuff and commenting on it... alright, so the main reason is because this is one of the few places left in the world where it's ok to talk about religion, po
alright cornhead... you best git to readin' some more articles if you think i'm a chic... for that wisecrack, you will now be referred to as Cornhead for the next 100 days... HA! make you mellow out at times when you don't want to? i still don't get it... i'll have to think on that one a bit...
so at this point I should consider myself lucky that I've never had any of these problems, right? Windows XP and professionally built computers rule...
Unfairman! you're such an alchi... first aboard the Scurvy Buttercup, and now here... hope you have a good St Patty's day. Somehow I don't think i'll be doing much in the way of drinking, so I'll be counting on you to drink my share...
good point on not bringing up politics or religion too early on. I wasn't even on a 'date', but rather just out with a new friend once when the subject of the war in Iraq came up. We had an hour long 'discussiondebateargument' about whether it's right or wrong, with me in favor of it, and her not in favor. Needless to say, we didn't talk much after that... hmm... no loss though... how could I have dated someone who clearly couldn't see that I was ri
just think... another 10 or 11 years and she'll be wanting to go to Florida with her friends for spring break... and you'll be the worried mother waiting by the phone... hehehe poor Nic
