Hey, I'm not so sure I get what you mean. My husband has been here (he moved from Europe in 2002) for almost 2 years, and as much as he hates, hates, HATES American policies, the war, and George Bush, he says that there is not one thing bad that he can say about the American people themselves, and that no matter where you go in the world, people are people, and though the language may be different, we are all generally the same. Even his parents who

Hey, Weltregierung, since you lived here, then you must realize that not ALL Americans are close-minded, red-neck hillbillies, just like all Germans aren't Nazi skin-heads. You can hate American policies/politics/gov. all you like, but the American people? We are some nice folks over here....so please be careful with your stereotypical generalizations, DUDE.

Joints don't stay lit, but hey, either way, no one should be driving while stoned, drunk, talking on a cell phone, or eating a big Mac.

My mom was also a "stay-at-home" mom, and it is much better for the kids. Then my parents got divorced (Dad had an affair and was subsequently thrown out), and since my mom had no real work experience for 15 years, and no education, she had to go to work as a supermarket cashier for minimum wage.....she worked her butt off "for peanuts" as she used to say. It was a constant struggle for us to stay afloat financially, even with child support payments. So yeah, it iS better for the kids to ha

After all......how else are these incredibly UNtalented "entertainers" going to sell their next CD/concert tour? The acts on the halftime show were soooo last week, and to think I had almost forgotten about them....DAMMIT!

Nader supporters are people who are sick of voting for the lesser of two evils. All of you who complain about him suck it up, and stand for what's right. It's sad to see so many who are against our freedom. Nader supporters are people who are sick of voting for the lesser of two evils. All of you who complain about him s

E. Macy, I am dreaming of koffie shops and finally living in a free county! See u there! BTW, I may be a "pothead" (such a negative sounding stereotypical term), but I am also a Christian. Weed/Shrooms/Cactus are God's gift to me, and I plan on enjoying them.

Dennis Hopper? Nah....I like Tommy Chong's voice better. Too bad that you feel ridiculed (??) and that you have to ridicule in return. So you have a different viewpoint....no need to get nasty.

I'm sorry........WHY are you against decriminalization? Do you want everyone who uses pot to be prosecuted? They don't have a jail big enough. BTW, Messy, noone is trying to talk you into it here (maybe in your life outside this forum?). Why would you want anyone to take away MY right to smoke it? What is the difference in smoking a couple of bongs in front of the TV than drinking a couple of wine coolers.....becasue it's illegal (like "wine coole

Yeah, Bakerstreet....I also had your mode of thinking for a very long time.......I first smoked pot when I was 37 (I know, ). I was always "afraid" because I bought into all that crap that they feed you about how "it's pot now, heroin next week".,etc., etc. but my curiosity got the better of me, and I tried it.....and I damn well liked it!! When people tell you that it "opens your mind",

I don't need the government to sanction something that I can grow next to my tomato plants (hence forgoing the "sleazy dealer" as you call it). Decriminalization would be nice, though, as throwing me in jail for growing a fucking plant in my garden is pretty stupid, wouldn't u agree?

If you compare weed to "alcoholic beverages", booze, which is also physically addictive, can kill u.......never heard of anyone dying from an overdose of marijuana.......and btw Bakerstreet....it's about the fun...getting stoned from time to time is FUN, and what's wrong with a little escape now and then? Loosen up! Then again, nevermind.

The "War on Drugs" and going to Mars again to see more red dirt....2 really big wastes of my money! "The only way you can truly fight the war on drugs is by ceasing to make life chronically painful for the masses."

Yeahhhh, um, who cares about the "handful" of people without healthcare? Brad Wardell doesn't. In fact, it is plain to see on this, and on most of his blogs, that he has very, very little compassion for his neighbors whom are a couple of steps lower on the food chain than himself, especially where his wallet is concerned. In his USA, it's every man for himseelf, and screw the "unfortunates" including the little bastard children who never asked to be born to an "unwed mother under 21". Brad

If you are someone unfortunate enough to be working hard in a minimum wage job without health insurance, and you become "unlucky" enough to get, for example, appendicitis, and have to have your appendix removed, you are probably looking at something like a $10,000 bill (and that's barring any "complications"). Most hospitals will take "payments", though.....so you could probably scrape enough money together to pay $20 a month or so, provided that you still have your minimum wage job after you h
