Component Tray just alerted me to a new DesktopX build. Because of all the recent DX problems, though, I'll defer others to test out this new build before I take the plunge myself.

Heh, I created a thread about this a few months ago. If you have something bogging down your CPU, you don't have to be particularly fast, nor even particularly accurate. I've managed to get in eight guesses without using up any seconds. You just start typing, and when the CPU finally gets around to the game, all those guesses hit immediately, ta
Don't ask me to translate.
It should work well in my head after an all-night bender.
I doubt if using the lighted orange switch to reboot is the healthiest thing for your system.
Visibility equals Usability; no mater how good a skin looks if its hard on the eyes it winds up changed to another skin after a short time I agree with that. Some of my favorite skins visually never lasted long on my system because of poor color contrasts and/or too small of fonts. No matter how goo
Oh, whoops. That was an interesting typo, I was actually on your personal page at tht time. Mike is perfectly acceptable as a shortened form of microphone, though I don't personally spell it that way. <a href="../r
Wow, we're already up to 3.
Now it's crashing on me again, but this last time it did it when I went to check for new messages. Before it was crashing right when it first loaded. I can wait till tomorrow.
It was crashing on me this morning with a server error, but now it's fine.
here in australia we don't have harmless snakes There's no such thing as a harmless snake. They're all quite capable of giving me a heart attack, thank you very much! <
If I use the direct link I get that message every time. However, if I use the link on Mary Jo Foley's page, I can read it just fine. Go figure. Might be a security setting on my browser.
DiskMon just might be what you're looking for, or at least close enough.
Sorry, the page you are trying to open is available only for our premium (paid) members. Guess I'll have to take your word for it. <img src="http://images.stardock.c
It's rare for me to create a new thread for a skin/theme, but this is so unique, I felt compelled. I still don't know if I can use this on a regular basis, but it's so cool and unique that I'm going to give it every chance! Hopefully, he'll tweak it a little bit to make it even better and more usable.
Could have been TradeWars; I'm not sure. It was an Atari BBS, BTW.
Sounds like a game I used to have on my BBS. Don't remember the name, though.
Tarkus: Font size doesn't seem to have any effect. Some of the skins that display all 3 lines have font sizes much larger than those that only show 2 lines. Jot down their font settings and try them in the skin(s) you're trying to adjust. <img src="http:
I'm not sure, but I think Windows determines that, according to the font, and how much space is available. Try going with a smaller font size in SS for the clock and see if that works.
I've heard many great things about SpinRite . It's supposed to be the cat's meow. Look at the video linked on the main page.
Charging money for skins is kind of weird considering that skins for non-Stardock applications and for other OS platforms are usually free. And that's different here how, exactly? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted
When I said the Dolphin animation uses too much CPU, I was talking ~20%, not the 100% that the screen savers were using. But that's still way too much for eye candy. Also, many of the screen savers I tried were preview-enabled, but they still didn't work, or they all but took down my system trying to work. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustom
Sheesh! What, are you running Windows ME over there, Jafo?
Well, I gave it a shot, after rebooting to a clean system. Can't say that I'm here to give a glowing review. The included Dolphin animation looked decent, though it used way too much CPU to be anything more than a novelty. Plus it was way too big. The included Beizer animation looked good and used very little CPU. It's not something I'd want as a
I'm not sure about all that, but I couldn't leave any messages after installing the latest update. WC didn't know I was logged on. Which is odd, because it knew I was logged on in Maxthon, an IE client. In any case, the way I fixed it was to use SDC's Web Browser and enter my name and password from there. Haven't had a problem since. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" bord
