You only get the veiwer in a fleet on fleet battle. If your fleet is attacking a single ship or a planet without a fleet manager you only get the on screen animation of the battle.
DethAdder
..Sorry bout that. I totally missed the game version. You should get much more stability with 1.3
A mining starbase on a resource is a civ wide bonus, while you economy starbases and that are in area of influence. On the planet screen in the details button you can see on the right side any starbase bonuses being recieved by the planet. the economy bases boost your Points in production/research by % stated. I'm not exactly sure how the civ wide bonuses of resources are calculated though. Not sure if it's an actual percentage or not on those. Someone will come along that knows <img src="http:
Your video card is not "officialy" supported, but there's several people using that card without much trouble. Just can't have all the graphical bells and whistles on. Your video drivers need updating. Having updated drivers is a big thing with GCII. Hope this helps.
This has to be the biggest waste of a PQ32 that I've ever seen. That's what I was thinking as I built it up. Each stock exchange I took down to add a farm meant less money. The added pop doesn't replace the exchanges economy wise. The Planet was making qu
That's a hell of a situation you got into. On "normal" the AI is not at its best, but depending how many planets they have you could be in trouble. you can see how many planets they have as soon as your aware of them on the foreign relations screen. I think its stats then the misc. tab. Sounds like instead of the One city challenge of Civilization. You have the one system challenge. Good Luck. <img src="
I have two allies in my current game. It's with 1.4 though. In 1.3 it is really tough(near impossible)at times to get them close. It may have actually always been this way, but due to the 1.2 and prior bug you could get allied at friendly. I think people just never actually tried for close then, because they didn't need to. As far as who gets close and why, I can't find a logic with it. I've had opposite alignment become close for what seems like no reason, and other times a same alignment civ i
Hi. This is kind of a continuation of a conversation Mumblefratz and I had about trying to get 100B on a planet. Well it isn't to pretty and not particularly useful but here it is. <img src="http://img106.imageshack.us/img106/6334/capture1024200650756pmvh7.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at
I definately will post a pic. I'm having to get rid of the stock exchanges to make room for more farms. I have advanced farms, but I gotta have more of them. I have been ferrying people in cause the natural growth is only bout a hundred thousand or so a turn. I won't be able to play any more till probably after work tomorrow, so I won't get it tonight. Wish work would stop getting in the way of my GCII time. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddl
Just Download Stardock central. Log in and go to games. it should show your purchased products. You can just redownload and install.
You're Right Mumblefratz. It took me 12 VRCs to get over the hump. I'm at 54B now, but I'll have to get rid of more stock exchanges to get any higher. It's only making bout 850bc now, so it's not really worth it. Fun going for it, so I may go ahead and get the hundred and take a pic just so I can say I did . Oh yea, almost forgot the 12 VRCs is only holding morale at 46%, just enough to keep growing. I a
At first I couldn't stand the two guys in the Sonic commercials, but they got funnier so they are not too bad now.
Yea. This is pretty fun just trying to squeeze what I can out of a planet. That test planet may become 100b if I get over the 25b hump. I've never gotten one of those before as I was pretty much a noob at time of 1.2, so most my experience is with 1.3 or better.
I've got my tech planet to full potential now. Research 100% turns out it was only at 45% before. Got the omega research now too.
I've noticed the AI stacks also. Must be a rally point till they go to war or something. Sometimes in the heat of battle I'll be working my way through enemy fleets and click to attack what I think is a fleet to find it is one of these huge stacks.
Unless by in a corner you mean the corner of the map and you can't get the SB's all around it. Heh..actually that is what happened. Best I could of got was 8 SBs on it. So I'm using it as a test planet to see how far I can push the population and what I need for morale in 1.4. Just gotta love the versatility of this game. <img src="http://images.
That is awesome Mumblefratz. I wanted to see what the real pros like you could get. I would have liked to got a better PQ planet to do it with, but during the colony rush that was actually one of my better planets at the time. I did get one PQ 26 but was in a bad way, stuck in a corner with no bonuses. I didn't have research far enough for Omega research yet. My research spending is bout 60% in the pic
This is the best Tech planet I've gotten yet.The one in the middle(Iconia 15 T). I was able to get 20 Economy bases covering it for a 480% boost. <i
It seems all to often now that companies have the attitude of "Get it out on the release date at all cost, we'll patch later." That's why most my game purchases are usually about 6 months after they're released.
I use SDC for all my updates have yet to have a problem. The updates are pretty small only takes about a minute on DSL for me. Might try the direct method, but seeing how 1.4 isn't officially out yet it may not be available direct yet.
Well as far as the price goes it's been mentioned before here. Store can cut MSRP at the expense of their own profit, while if Stardock cut their price store would see it as competition and possibly not carry it on the shelf. Something like that.
I have used AVG antivirus for several years. It works good, it's free and has a simple layout. It also updates almost daily. I use it in conjunction with Zonealarm firewall and Spybot Search and Destroy. They are all are free. I first got them after recommendations from TechTv long while ago. I don't have link but a google search will find them farely easily. Btw: BURN!!! Comcast BURN!!! (They Killed TechTV, The Bastards) <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Mad.gif" bor
That's a lot of good advice Mumblefratz. I been kinda following this conversation as I'm in a fight on Tough. I've beaten Tough the first couple tries, but this is first with my custom race and for the first time an AI is outclassing me. I've been losing meduims 2 to 1 to them so I'll be switching to the smalls on a different weapon line. Their defense on beam is what's killing me. Hopefully I can overcome as well. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="a
This is one of the features I'm greatly looking forward to as well. I do like reading the AARs people post. I'm not much of a writer so this will be great for us limited talent people. @Mumblefratz : I have and play a lot of games and haven't seen this feature before. It could exist, just haven't seen it. RCT3 has their photo story thing, but it's nothing like this. It just produces pics of your
