OOOHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm all a-flutter with anticipation!!!!!!!! I was here about 5 months after the current JU went public, so I'm very excited to be a part of JU nombre deux. Blog on, people!

You're such a sweetheart. Back at ya, D. Oh hush. I'm not THAT sweet - not when I can swear like this, anyway! I do adore you and your wife, though. Yep, she'll literally pull the car over and bitch y
Okay, note to self: don't piss Dharma off. No, REALLY... Sometimes you just gotta call 'em like you see 'em. Aww, I don't think you could ever piss me off that bad, Maso. I like you too much, and besides, you're not stupid. Wow! that's all I have to say is WOW! It was quite a spectacular rant, MM. I'm pretty proud of it.
I found JU on Valentine's Day of 2004. I was looking for a blog site to document my knitting, and came across JU. The format was attractive and easy to use, and I liked the people here, so I started a blog and the rest, as they say, is history. JU has seen me through one year long remote tour, deployments, house moves, surgeries, deaths, knitting, finding my birth mother and figuring out that I don't want anything to do with her, seeing my big brother and my mum for the fi
You should have Mason kick his ass Heh. "I was parked on the side of the road eating a double-cheeseburger when all of a sudden..." Ha! Now THAT fight I'd have won. The th
I lost my temper today. I haven't lost it for quite some time; I've joked recently and said that I'm overdue for a tantrum. Well, today I saw something so fucking assinine and totally devoid of common sense that I just couldn't hold it in. The town that I work in is small, but it has a major highway running through the middle of it (IL Hwy 50). The main 'drag' is two lanes and is always busy throughout the day. There are always big rig trucks coming up and do
It makes some sense, too, because matter and energy never cease to exist, they simply change form. Why should human matter and energy be any different? Bingo. I was talking about this to my kids the other day; telling them that if, when I die, they bury my carcass in the gound and plant a tree on top of me, that I'll decay and literally come back as bark and leaves and maybe even fruit. I LOVE that idea.
My response wasn't one of condemnation, rather it was intended to point out the difference between the OLd and the New Covenant and refute your assertion that St.Paul continued practicing Old Covenant Judaism after his conversion to Christianity. See?!!!! PERFECT example!!!!!!
you should just rest and take it easy.... You know, this time last year I'd be able to do that. This year, though.....things are a LOT different. I've tentatively been offered another short-term job and two more hospice patients in addition to the stuff I've already got going on. It won't last forever, though. Some of it will
Love how ya pick one or two points to argue, list all sorts of prophesies he DID fulfill, while conveniently ignoring the ones he DIDN'T Ah, but that's the christian way! it's a diversion tactic; they'll talk about all the things their book of faith believes, and hope that in the meantime you'll forget the original point. If cornered, they'll spout meaningless and irrelevant scripture from their book of faith at you, and if that doesn't work they'll sc
It's been a looong week, and it's only Wednesday. I studied Sunday afternoon for my final exam on Monday. Whilst I was studying Sunday evening, I ate a handful of raw peanuts that I'd bought on the pervious day. I loves me some peanuts; I ate them raw as a kid and had a hankering for some. Sunday night - actually 1am on Monday - I woke up with a bellyache. You know how it hurts when you get punched in the stomach; right at the solar plexus? Yeah, it was
I'm going to be out of a job soon. The little gentleman I look after has decided that it's in his best interests to move into an assisted living facility. The neurological disease he's had for many years is progressing rapidly (I personally believe that he's got the start of Alzheimers in addition to his other problems) and his savings are dwindling away. He's going to sell the house that he built with his own hands and move into....well, into a place where there will be
Hey, I'm almost 40 and I still get all dolled up and go trick ot treating. It's not for the candy; I don't carry a bucket with me and expect to get sweeties by the handful (although I'm short enough to pass for a kid especially when I'm wearing a mask)....for me, it's all about dressing up and being scary. You have to understand that I didn't get to do this as a kid in the UK so I'm making uo for lost time. Since we came here in '04, I've successfully made at LEAST three c
*this is dharma's husband answering for my wife first, there's a war on. Second, whar little recscurces we DO have are being cenrtered on the big bad wolves in iraq. Thirdly....be careful what youn wish for cause you just might get it.
So, I have labrynthitis. I hope I spelt that right; my screen is about 45 degrees out of whack for me right now. I've had to take the week off work and a day off school (you know it's bad when I can't go to class). All I've done this week is stagger around the house, bumping into stuff and knocking things over and feeling very queasy. The meds make me sleepy and I hate losing a day to sleep. The first morning I took it, The People's Court was on and I was
dynomite Claps hands together "DYNOMIIIIIIIIIITE"!! I typed and deleted the rest. At least I know when to hold my tongue.
Amen! I hope it costs him more like $5500 so the jackass will grow some cojones and not be Mister Sissy Man Moi aussi. Its not like you're going to call her Twinings, right? I had though
Wow. Just wow. I am SO glad that he's home. It seems like 'bella is taken to her Daddy pretty well too, huh? Davey didn't want anything to do with his dad when he came back froam Dhahran. Enjoy your leave. Make the most of it, honey. I love you too.
Dave and I have decided to expand our little family and have another 'baby. No, I'm not pregnant, and I'm not trying to get pregnant. We've decided that we want another dog. We've chosen a breed - Boston Terrier - and are actively looking for breeders in our area. I saw some Boston's at the pet store yesterday and whilst they were gorgeous little dogs I know that they came from a puppy mill and I'm not about to drop $1100 on a dog that I can buy from a reputable br
I'm sorry he's gone, Marcie. LH is right - time is time, and distance is distance and it's all the same when they're gone. I discovered early on in D's career that I had two choices during deployments: I could either sit around crying all the time and revel in my own misery, or I could do something constructive to distract myself and make him happy when he got home. The first deployment was spent in tears every day and I was miserable. The second one made better use
The Foul Sweats. I hate those. I've detoxed more times than I care to admit, and I find that particular symptom to be the absolute worst part of the whole ordeal. Freezing cold with goosepimple-y skin, but drenched in sweat. Not nice. Not at all. I used to try to make myself suffer through them as a kind of punishment for being stupid enough to let my addictions run free, but that rarely worked and I always ended up taking enough Be
Hey, can you email me too? I'll drop you a line or two whilst you're gone. I know how much it sucks to be away from home and not have anyone write you. [email protected] Be safe, Ock. JU won't be the same without you.
As those of you who have read my blog in the past know, we have a very good thrift store here on base. Some of the items are consigned and have stupid, stupid prices attached to them. For instance, there was an evening gown there today. Circa 1970, made out of horrible polyester and an equally (if not more so) disgusting pale blue-green color with lace ruffles around the neck, on the bib and sleeves and on the bottom hem, it has sweat stains on the armpits and little pills
probably 2230 or so (for the Air Force, that's 1030 PM Hey, now! The AF has been using military time for as long as I've been around it (20+ years. I married AF, but I dated AF too . Some AF (and by 'some' I mean my husband) aren't as soft as you might think they are WWW Link <a href="http://en.w
I taught myself to play guitar too. The feeling that I got when I first managed to pick the intro to 'Down On The Corner' right was....well, it was great. I don't play much anymore; I can't knit well with calloused fingers, but I do recall well the 'zone' that comes with playing guitar. Good for you on the 20lbs too. I'm trying to drop some myself, and I hate the gym too.
