People could easily create new accounts more and more, and download the skin/theme on each account. The method of judging is too faulty... You have to remember..the moderators arent stupid.If they see an onslaught on "new members" it would raise an alarm. Also...I think your forgetting but
To participate in the contest I have to work harder. jj ying and cyberworld and bash. School comes first, but..im sure you can work under pressure. I'd bet you can still be on time with an entry.

Its too bad there wasnt a way to have a certain amout of " Judges" and that skins could be uploaded for contest with just a number rather than their user name. That way you judged the skin without knowing who made it. Could be rather interesting to see if everyone could try to guess who made what. Just babbling...I know its probably too hard to do this.. The download count is hard to judge because some days are busy and other days are very quiet.

I see you already made a note about this only one entry per catagory. I just d/loaded his cursor and made a comment..because it states " WC Subscription Contest " But as luck would have it..I was able to edit out my comment about the " rules "
~I don't understand why people get upset about SDC . I only run it once a week to check for updates. Which I choose to take or not. It also will archive versions for you in case there is a problem. Believe me..its not like its a "mind control" device...it just makes things easier for you.

They have usually resolved any issues within 24 hours for me. If im in a hurry, I've called their phone number. Its not toll free though. They have resolved slight glitches for me over the phone.

I just read through this quickly and I have never experienced any of these problems with desktopX or IP..ive had other problems but none of the script type problems. My computer is an HP Pavilion and at least 5 years old. But....I got rid of Nortons long ago. Seems to be a conflict with certain antivirus programs and not just the Stardock product. I use AVG ....I have not had to reformat in over 2 years...
