Elie: You recently wrote on Bakerstreet's blog: hey brudda, you get exactly three days of this deep depression crap, then you must go back to being the high and mighty asshole I have grown to love so much. Get me? I'm turning it back at ya -- it's been more than three days -- so it's time for you to come back and keep

Thank you for confirming my intention to stay as far away from iPods as possible. Between the battery nonsense and this I see no sense in going near the things. Honestly, I would have never started down this path on my own. I received my first iPod as a gift from my boss. After a year with it, I was pretty attached. Since then, my boss has als

Maso: If he still can, I HIGHLY recommend that your brother extend his warranty for the extra year. I can't think of anyone I know with an iPod that made it to the 2 year mark without having to replace it. My first one acted funny weeks after the warranty expired -- it was revived several times by the folks at the "Genius Bar" at the Apple stores both here in DC and when I was out in San Fran. That extended its life for a couple of months, but by

Happy Birthday, iPod number 3. I have a good feeling about you -- and I hope you'll stick around here a little longer than your older siblings (iPod #1 and iPod #2) did. As you can tell, I got a new iPod today -- not by choice. My iPod was purchased in July, at the same time that I purchased my Mac laptop. Just before New Year's, the hard drive in my c

Dude, how'd you do the line through thing? You're way too hi-tech for me. I think this blog summed things up nicely. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Tova: I hope it sticks. LW: I got the recipe from Allrecipes.com It can be found at: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Quick-Mediterranean-Chicken/Detail.aspx However, I had to make my own greek spices. Here's how I made it: 2 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons dried oregano 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

break down the stinger that broke off into your skin I'm guessing there is still something there that is causing it to react. The hotel security staff put some special "jelly fish" medicine on it almost immediately -- which looked like aloe and sand mixed together. It took the burn away a bit, and th

One of my many New Year's resolutions was to cook more often. This was both an attempt to eat better and to save a little money. Granted, we aren't that far into the new year and I spent the first three days on holiday where I did no cooking, but since then I've been pretty impressed with myself. Not only have I been actually making meals when I get home from work,

Wow, that video clip brought tears to my eyes, I can't imagine what it was like to be there in person. Completely overwhelming. Glad you got to go, my jetsetting friend. You don't sit in one place for very long,

I'm backing up the data on my computer which is taking ages, so it seemed like a good time to write a blog. Yup, I'm a wild and exciting girl -- computer back ups and blogging on a Saturday evening. Who could ask for more than that? I'm becoming diligent about data backups since my hard drive failed on me a couple of weeks ago. Since the computer was onl

I heard that Madrid was disappointed. They made their own bed on this one. If they are disappointed (I haven't read any where that they are), it is because of the commercial sales he makes them (the Beckham shirts, the increase in Real Madrid exposure globally), not because they are losing a good footballer. Beckham has been trying to nail RM

The U.S. has soccer teams? hardy, har har! I'm disappointed -- I was hoping that after our trade of Freddy Adu, Becks would be making his way to DC. Afterall, he is friends with TomKat, and TomKat are friends of the Schneider who are in DC because of the Redskins, so it only makes sense that he'd come here, right? Maybe I should have

My understanding is that this has something to do with the fact that Cisco only holds the trademark in the US and so Apple can legally use iPhone in the rest of the world. I'm guessing there is also some sort of branding law that will help Apple (based on iPod, iTunes, iLife), but I honestly don't know about that. Either way, it seems like a bizarre way to negotiate.

I rarely watch ER these days -- simply because there isn't enough time in a day. I think, like DR. Miler, I stopped watching around Dr.Greene's death. Actually I hate everything this man stands for Really? Everything? So that would mean you are for the mass killings in Dafur, right? Just checking. <img src="http://images.stardock.com

.only people born in this country don't understand a work ethic and feel obligated to retire at the age of 55 no matter what How precisely does one retire at 55 without a work ethic? I'd imagine that said person busted their butt to retire that early. For example, my father retired at 52 from public school teaching (he had been in the same scho

Any normal woman in her mid-thirties I'm not sure that woman exists. I'm pretty sure that part of the charm of being a woman is that we all have our own set of neuroses. Learning to love them all is a challenge we each face Happy New Year, Nic!

Maybe because it is rammed down our throats at every opportunity. We clearly live in different worlds because the only people I see constantly making everything a left vs. right issue are the conservatives on here. And I'm not even sure how this is a left right issue? Is Oprah a conservative? I honestly don't know, but I wouldn't hav
