because galciv uses a fairly real world system for the taxes (you pay the majority of youre income in taxes) But heres somethign to try crank it to 100% and then lower it to 85%

is there any way we can keep it in the game? I mean bulding a major settling ship or even a super constructor sounds usefull.
Woo Hoo! finally I can start finding all new bugs and finding even more things that I absolutely hate! yay! Thank you!
I'm still crashing rather frequently on my end. and I read in a post (under "loading time") that I shouldn't be crashing at all at this point. Usually i stumble onto some CTD after 15 or so minutes (be it save file corruption, crashes in the "report" area, or even when tradeing) anywho I was just currious if I was the only one out there still getting frequent crashes if so is there anything I can be doing other then sending off the smart exceptions?</f
bump duno if anyones seen this
Meow? I completely agree. Something's broken somewhere it seems to be way to dificult to get ships where I need them.
Okay the following things have proven to slightly annoy me and are interface issues for the most part. 1. No option to invert the mouse. (so that when youre holding the middle mouse button down goes down instead of down rotating the view up) 2. The galaxy setup - At current when a player goes to sleect a secnario you have to click into each scenario to get a description of it - Instead could we get a button somewhere that says "Ch
In the previous versions I had a real gripe with the way the tech tree was laid out. I feel the need to now say it's a huge improvement. Thank you for that! thats all I had to say
Ran just fine I changed the following lines Sfx=0 Music=0 EventMusic=0 any idea on a fix?

All day today GC 2 had fairly crash happy so I uninstalled completely (nuked the folders) and reinstalled (Twice) With both installs ive been getting an imeadiete crash at startup. I've generated a smart exception file but before I sent it off I wanted to check to see if anyone else was getting a crash on startup that said. "Microsoft visual C++ Runtime library Runtime error! (program install location for GC followers) this appcication
I did not start this thread to turn into this. I was not saying the game was complete or feature finished and never ment for it to spiral into this. I wanted to know what people found amusing in the game and what people didnt like (thus the question "are we having fun with gc 2 yet") Secondly: There are UI issues that I wanted to see fixed it sounds like 2 of them are coming and the filter system should be in, honestly, whats the point of seeing techs that I have already researched an
At the moment I'm rather bored with galciv 2. Admitedly GC 1 held my attention for almost 9 to 10 months of good weekly play. but GC 2 on the other hand just feels like GC 1 with a brand new coat of paint and a couple of new features. I'll admit the diplomacy area isnt really working yet but I do have a quick suggestion (unless im blind and completely missed it) could we get a way to tell what OTHER races think of each other? In CIV 4 this w
Actually Hyper Malls could work as a way to spread youre culture through the galaxy I honestly see no reason why they shouldnt be added
Woo go jack thompson proving just who the biggest idiot in the world is. Please note Idiot is not the word I desire to use here but any other word might seem extreme and as such would be frowned upon.
I will speak for the space shark. Personally I think that space sharks shouldnt be created by random annomlies but should instead happen through "Events" something that wont trigger in the early game but WILL trigger in the later game. Also I like the moo2 idea of the space shark where the actual space monster would hang around the planet and you'd have to beat it in order to get accsess (ie colonise) that planet, but the planet
Woah woah waoh when you adopt (Like i have) there not YOURE kids but you have an influence on them and you shape them so you have contributed to the human race. even from an online perspective you DO influence people in MMO's. I know because i've been playing online since 14 or so. I started off as one of those annoying kids online who drive you up the walls and have since become a much better person. I've learned real things from playing games.
yeah but isnt he saying that the bonuses arent large enough and that there should be penealties as well?
There once was a man from nantucket, but this post isnt about him. In galciv i always did the same started build 5 colony ships (total of 6 colonies large/huge maps only) then jacked research to 90% social to 10% and just ran that and traded to keep in the postive bc... simple and affective, I bet it works even better in GC2 since you can choose what techs you start with... Oh this threads about tiny ships? mmm Yeah there worthless atm because youve got the choice of weapon
it'd be cool if we could get a video window (like we have for fleet battles) for ground combat... some kind of video that would vary by the size of the forces (shoot like 5 short bik clips) I duno just a thought
earth2025 here
City of heros is still the ONLY game ive seen try to tackle the level issue with sidekicking and the like nothing else to post yet.
Ive been a uo player for 8 years. I used to really enjoy that game even when they screwed up and added trammel... Personally I saw trammel as a way to provide more housing and to make people happy... I was OKAY with trammel, That allowed me to go and easily mine for resources to omake armor to fight with.. but they messed up with the expantion "Age of shadows" and they added Insurance and switched for a very diablo 2 style weapon/armor system. Insurance is what killed it because then
Im a grandmaster chess player... in my dreams... okay ive only had that dream once and it was strange and proably a nightmare... but anyway you'll start getting better at chess if you keep playing. I mean I used to be horrible at poker, and im still horrible! (Wasnt going anywhere with that)
Gosh I feel the need to defend moo3 Moo3 1.0 SUCKED! there ive defended it... I mean insulted it... Anyway if you own moo3 and thought that "it could of been a good game if the AI wasnt completely broken" then find youre install disks and pop over to http://www.moo3.at/ and grab yourself the unoffical patch which more then fixes moo3 and makes it a 7/10 game
