Multiplicity Connection Issues

Multiplicity Secondary Comp fails to connect to Main Comp

Team,

I'm running into an issue. I have 3 subside laptops that are secondary computers to my main laptop that hots Multiplicity. A few days ago it was working fine on all 3, good connection with no issues. We had a power outage for a few seconds around mid-afternoon. Later that night I started turning on my computers and noticed that one of my laptops (multiplicity) was not showing connected to my main computers. I've tried restarting the program, restarting the laptop, setting my network/internet to private, and disabling my firewall. And still there is no view on the map Multiplicity page on the main computer that it can see this laptop. I've tried restarting the main computer and the main multiplicity program to no avail. I've tried also using our home Wi-Fi and also connected a CAT5 cable for a better physical connection. Still a no go.

Looking for any suggestions at this point.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your issue.

Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS build number for all primary and secondary system. Please use Winver.exe.
Multiplicity version number.

Thank you for replying to my post! The full version of the primary computer is Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 OS build 19045.5737. The version on the secondary computer is Windows 11 Home version 24H2 OS build 26100.3775.

I'm using Multiplicity 4 Pro.

I looked at your linked provided and double checked all the firewall settings. Everything is turned off and the laptop (issue in question) has version 4.01 installed. While the main computer has version 4.01 Pro installed. The other laptops that work have version 4 Beta 3.

Its still unknown whats not working exactly.

And still there is no view on the map Multiplicity page on the main computer that it can see this laptop.

For KVM connections, if that is what you mean:

If your issue is with Seamless connections, switch off Advanced Resolution and test that the connection works

Thank you for reaching out. To better clarify. One of my laptops that is considered a secondary-computer isn't connecting to the main multiplicity program. This issue occurred a earlier in the week. It was working fine Monday night, then as I was sitting down on my main computer (where the main multiplicity program is installed), I noticed the Tower_EQBOX wasn't able to connect.

I've also never used the "advanced resolution" grid since purchasing multiplicity.

I adjusted my firewalls (turned them all off on both computers). Reinstalled Multiplicity on the secondary computer. And still was a no-go. I figured it has to be focused more on the secondary computer, since the other secondary computers are visible and working per the picture above. The main computer has a CAT5 cable connection while the Tower_EQBOX is connected via WiFi on the same network. I tried connecting a CAT5 cable to provide a physical connection to the secondary computer in question, and still was a no-go.

I wanted to update the issue with my Tower_EQBOX laptop. The laptop that wasn't connecting was starting to appear on the "add computer" screen. Normally it wasn't showcasing that specific laptop when searching for local laptops in the same wifi/domain. I deleted it completely from the Seamless connections page and re-added it. Now it works. No idea why or what caused it now to show up.

I appreciate what your team does and sorry for the inconvenience of a temporary issue. I guess if someone else runs into a similar issue. Just delete the secondary computer from your Multiplicity and try to restore it through the "add computer".
