Praise for Stardock and GalCiv2

Letting them know we care

Game development is a tough job. Stardock has been working fervently on the 1.1 patch. Instead of asking them where the patch is and making their lives more stressful, let's tell them how cool they are. I bet the official patch will come out sooner if we wait patiently. I am going to download the beta because almost all of the issues have been fixed and I don't want to get too stuck using 1.0X tactics. I am looking forward to a official release too.

Dear Avatar Frogboy and Stardock,

GalCiv2 is the only game I have purchased for my windows XP machine that has run stable out of the box. It is the first game where I didn't have to avoid certain game features to keep my computer from crashing. I am astounded.

The windows theme that you allow game buyers to download is beautiful and it has changed my windows experience for the better. Thank you.

I know that you are working hard on the patch and you don't want to introduce bugs... I just can't believe that there is a company out there that wants to avoid introducing bugs in patches. Most companies say, "You should be more happy about the bugs we fixed, the bugs that were introduced in this patch will be fixed in the next patch." What results is an endless bug cycle that makes my computer sick. My computer and I salute your vigilance and applaud your product!

Just wanted to let you know I care.

I encourage any other happy customers to post here.

my last TBS space game was (well, still is... it'll always have a place in my heart and on my hard drive) the infamous Moo3.

the publisher, Infogrames, botched it so badly they had to go hide behind the Atari name. the developer, QSI, retreated to go do a game for a less incompetent publisher (the government/military), and after two incomplete attempts at patches the whole thing was dropped like a flu-ridden albatross, and the mess left for grease-monkey modders and gear-head patchers to clean up.

seeing GalCiv2 being both developed and published in the same house gives me hope, and seeing the level of support makes my heart swell with admiration!

good work folks!

is your office was in Austin, you'd already have copies of my resume stuffed into every opening of your building that i could find.

I played Gal CIv I and Stardock was great with that and haven't slowed down one bit. Gotta appreciate the way they do business and support their game and fans. One reason I couldn't wait to buy Gal Civ II. Thanks to Stardock for your continued work.
