Is there any way to edit or remove planet tile bonuses???

Anyone know? Im trying to make things on a more fair level for the AI on planets....

You know the AI can use them too, right? So you'd be screwing both of you over if you removed them. As is, I don't know a way to remove them, bonus tiles aren't mentioned in the .xml (that I know of)

No, they are controlled in the .exe file as far as I know, so are not moddable.

Yes the AI can use them, but it doesnt know how to use them. This way AI tile placing is not an issue anymore...

Wrong, it does know how to use them. There appears to be an AI bug in 1.1 which is stopping this, but it normally is very good at it.

Well, I've seen the AI use them perfectly. Occasionally it chooses not to. Difficulty?

Maybe the difficulty setting has something to do with it. At the lower intelligence settings thay may just be too dumb to recognize a good thing. I see the tiles used correctly a lot of the time, and sometimes not as much. The Yor sure don't seem too bright, in any case. I have them set at genius right now, and they still can't figure out to build a few farms and not place embassies on 300% research tiles. Maybe if they had the extra people and research, they could better fend off my troops and ships when they declare war on me.
