Neo-Soul Music

Exactly one year ago, I was really into Remy Shand's and Jill Scott's music. That's how I discovered my love for neosoul. Other artists who have written (or co-written and co-produced) and performed their material under this genre are India Arie, Erykah Badu, Vivian Green, Maxwell, Angie Stone, Musiq, and whole lot more. These are the artists who have not fully taken control of the mainstream radio charts, but they have always garnered numerous citations and outstanding reviews from genuine music enthusiasts, critics, and record producers all over.

For those who know Jill Scott, lemme just share with you how I love the song "A Long Walk." It definitely has an unparalleled (sounds so grand) synergy of stunning lyrics and groovy rhythm. It's one music I'd love to chill to.

Remy Shand is another music genius. Having developed his music with so much Motown influence, he reminds me of the Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. His music stands out of the mainstream Pop R&B because his has more divinely laid-back feel. It's both sexy and classy; perfect make-out music! "Rocksteady" ranks one if I were to rank all make-out tunes I seriously love. I haven't heard from these artists since 2002, and am looking forward to hear them take over the airwaves.

People who appreciate neosoul music might also want to hear these songs..."Everlasting" by Remy Shand, "Rocksteady" by Remy Shand, "Is It The Way" by Jill Scott, "He Loves Me" by Jill Scott, "Brotha" by Angie Stone, "Subtle Invitation" by Mariah Carey, "Suitelady" by Maxwell, and "Ye-Yo" by Erykah Badu. Daym beautiful rhythm, melody, and lyrics...
